            Hi to all!
I have one chinese clone openbox s16 hd that worked very nice still yesterday...then i put on USB one channel setting file .udf of S9 setting.
The receiver complete the loading setting but after looping reboot:the onboard dispaly show: ON -START-OOO1-ON-START-OOO1.......
I read this post and i trying to flash trough RS232 port with the upgrade tool version 2.0.0f 17-04-2009 but:
the connection i thinking is ok because the tool show "sync to serial port -get protocol version & chunk -Error no packet receive" but the sat receiver display show "Conn"
            Anyone can help me?
            Thanks a lot.
            and...sorry for my poor english...

try changing the comm port to a different one both on the pc and recovery software see if that makes a difference

I'm looking for a rs232 cable with 15 pins which will connect to my pc but i can't seem to find that. Is there any other solution to connecting the rs232 cable from the box to pc via hdmi or usb or any other method? If so, could you provide me the link to the product. Thanks

There's no such thing as a 15 pin RS232 cable. Thev15 pin D-type connector is for a VGA monitor.

There are USB to serial adapters around. Some appear to work, & some don't, so it's pot luck. They are available on Ebay & Amazon.

thats a null modem cable but as stated its pot luck if they work via usb port method some do some dont. the best method is to use a pc with comm port(rs232 port) built in.
