i am to not able connect with wifi on skybox m3

I just got the unofficial Wifi dongle with aerial for skybox M3.

Iv enabled the Wifi and rebooted and when I go to the Wifi manager it just stays scanning and doesnt even find any wireless networks.

Should it still find networks even if the settings are not changed to just WPA or WPA2?

Still no joy with my wifi.

After changing the router settings its finding my network but will not connect.

I've tried all things on this thread. New image, all numeric password, connect via cable first etc.

This is the wifi antenna im using.

I had my skybox connected via wifi, at first it was giving the timeout message eventually it connected but had problems wit picture freezing or glitchy. Now using homeplugs much better option worth considering.

Mate wifi on these boxes is absolutely rubbish, if hard wired is not an option then do yourself a favour and buy some home plugs

The code for your router has to be 13 digits long for the slybox to work.
Just change your key to a 13 digit code and all should be good .

I did the same to check if the dongle is actually working...created a open wifi hotspot from my mobile and it did work..!!

This will depend on the type of phone you have and if it supports tethering.

Dont have an Iphone myself but if you enable the hotspot and give it a name (ssid) and password you should then see it when the box is set for wifi.

The Issue with wifi connection is down to the fimrware, the newr firmwares dont seem to like the wifi,

try original scooby snacks firmware mate wifi works excellent its based on old firmware too but is very stable on wifi
