Hi I am new to the forum, I have read through the post and tried some of the suggestions such as changing the DHCP to off then back on and restarting the box. I have also checked the connection by trying you~~~~. I am not able to get you~~~~ either, does this mean it is a connection problem? If so what should I check?

I have had an F3 for a couple of days and occasionally, the lines of ?offline?. Doing what Digicon said works, but not immediately .. I have to turn DHCP off and on a few times as it does not seem to work first time for me. I am wondering if there is a permanent solution to this or what actually causes this problem.

Which connection / wifi or cable
                Which box ???

                No you~~~~ = no internet

                Have you rebooted the router

Find you IP address with Google on a computer for your router
On the box goto /menu/network settings/ethernet settins/check your IP address is the same

If I get this problem of the IP locking I turn the DHCP OFF and enter a static IP, give it a few minutes and turn the DHCP ON again.

I do not have a static ip. Do I have to enter a real IP or a fake one will do?

You enter one thats within the range of your router. Depending on your router it will be something like 192.168.0.1 - 254 or 192.168.1.1 - 254

Have you tried plugging your box into the router directly and then make sure your network settings are set to accept Ethernet?

If using wifi, make sure you add the password and save the settings. 802.11g is unstable as its based on the environment it is in. So the skybox might just be loosing connection to the box if its on wifi.

If your router is set to auto channels or on a higher setting than 11 manually set to something lower, setting it to 6 seems a good option, these Chinese boxes seem to have a better connectivity on the lower channels, don't know why though.
