Yeah, unzipped with WinRar and place on the root menu on the hard drive. AJ's list works fine and ive had to reload that back onto my F5S.

This is what i am doing so please point me in the right direction if i am doing it wrong please?.......
    1. Deleting the channel list that is already on the box
    2. Plugging my usb into the laptop and deleting the TP_PROG.dbs that is already on there.
    3. Unzipping the file with WinRar and placing on the root of the usb.
    4. Plugging usb back in the box
    5. Go to Menu>Tools>Upgrade by USB>Changing upgrade mode to Misc Files>Select & Upgrade>Ticking TP_PROG.dbs>Pressing yellow to upgrade.

Then when I press "info" it says "no file found" on the TP_PROG.dbs list???

Am i doing this right or am i being a numpty??

    Thanks.

      Sounds OK.

When you unzip it, did you check that the file name reads exactly TP_PROG.dbs?

        It says TP_Prog.dbs

Not sure as "prog" is not in capitals and will that make a difference?

That should be OK as well. I normally use AJ's lists & that extracts as TP_PROG.dbs, but I notice that sattv5's lists extract to TP_Prog.dbs.

Just tried sattv5's list myself with no problems.

If you look at the properties of the file by right clicking on it, does it show a file size of 1.00 MB (1,048,576 bytes)?

Ok... heres my problem guys.. i am pretty much a newbie to this and pick things up quickly!

I have changed from AJSAT's list to Sattv5's. The problem padge69 was having above, i had the same issue. I dumped all the misc files to a usb stick (i normally have a 2Tb HD plugged in) for safe keeping and removed them from the stick onto my PC. i then dropped Sat's list onto the usb stick on its own and tried to update to the F5S. I had the same error as padge69, so i put all the files i had dumped from the box onto the usb and then replaced the TP_PROG.dbs file for Sattv5's, updated the TP_PROG.dbs file only and it updated no problem.

I have now plugged my HD back in and can see that the epg is now showing BBC ONE HD as channel 101, but when i select 101 from the remote it comes up with the error "No Such Channel". which is clearly wrong as when i go into the epg > All and scroll riiiiiiiiight down to 101 it shows that the channel is there, however when i look in my Favorite list it shows BBC ONE HD as channel 0001. Have i missed something?

                    -==EDIT==-

Scrap that, i figured it out LOL... you have to be in the ALL top menu for it to work on the 101 102 etc... not favorites... DER!!

Hey, I'm a noob here. Could I just ask how I can change the values in an openbox f5s?

Looks the following have changed, BT SPORT HD 1&2, ESPN HD, Film4 and +1 (both SD). If I find anymore channels which don't work, I'll keep you guys posted

If you do a single satellite blind scan it will pick up the new channels....BUT it will not replace the ones on your box...you have to look through the available channels in the channel list and manually swap them for the old ones.
There are other ways to extract and modify the programme list but hopefully SATTV5 and CO will do that side of things.
