Can't solve epg being 1 hr out??

guys the problem is xmltv i believe its out because the clocks dont go forward in europe (or so i read in another froum)for another week or 2 so im thinking once that happens all will be ok just gotta wait it out

As someone has already said if you use the satellite to get your EPG all is well, but the XMLTV should also work and mine also is not working. I think this is why I have missed so many timer recordings.

hi 2 all,i don't know if this is any good or not but when i goto edit channel list in (MediaBox Editor Studio) i have noticed when u go into the receiver settings there is a time setting but it won't let me modify it, it is set at auto and you can't untick the box weather this info is of any use to someone.

Mines all hunky dory. Changed to summer time on and did an EPG update. All spot on :-)

Are you sure? The time may be correct but the xmltv epg itself is still out on mine.

I'm using Sky1 as an example. At this moment football is on but according to my xmltv epg it's not on until 8.30pm (the xmltv epg still thinks it's an hour less). I tried this with UTC at 00:00 and GMT on. I also tried GMT off and UTC+01:00.

However, I swap to satellite epg and no problems at all - everything is ok.

So it looks like it's an XMLTV epg issue.

Scrap the last post. Positive it was showing all correct an hour or so ago. Although there is a possibility I read it wrong. Looks like I'm getting the same as you.

On ITV1 at the moment is Law And Order UK but my EPG telling me it doesn't start til 22.00. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Whoever posted that in the other forum is wrong.

All of Europe change their clocks at the same time:-

Daylight Saving Time and Daylight Saving Time map for countries and territories 2014-2015

However, other countries around the world change their clocks at slightly different times, but all of the northern hemisphere (apart from Mexico) have now changed.

The last Southern hemisphere countries to change will be on 27th April.

i think mine is fine with the EPG side of things but when the box is on standby its own clock is 1hr ahead so starts any recordings too early.
I cleared the XMLTV files and did the latest update...both clocks were fine for about 2 minutes then went back to being 1hr out on the next reboot.

That changes time but does not solve the epg problem via the xmltv (ie 7 day epg). The normal satellite epg (ie just now & next) is fine.
