polsat and digialb blocked the hd chns first
then the sd chns and the same has happened
on 13e just hd at this point in time, and it's a good
guess it will happen the same way on these chns as well
for when all will go from any provider is like asking
how longs a length of string

Before everyone gets excited LOL, but all this was reported here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...d-nigh-307225/

Basically just a continuation of this method and maybe a few slight changes from the provider, Everyone knew way back then that this was a ticking time bomb waiting to happen, It just so happens that Bomb has now nearly reached Zero.

Counter measures happen all the time and this is just the start SD is not safe either once official SD receivers have been replaced expect everything to go dark completely.

I expect the following to happen

28e HD goes down by the end of the (football) season
People still continue with current receivers and methods
28e SD goes down - everyone left with FTA on 28e - by August/September 2014
People start flogging their satellite receivers on auction site

People start buying Cable tuner boxers or combi receivers which allow for cable tuners
Other go down the IP box route.

A whole new opportunity in the cable market for those in the know... that is until they implement counter measures and the cycle continues.

I would think - the Best bet for the mid/short term is to have a muti tuner (sat and cable) capable receiver - as prices are likely to be cheaper now than when demands rockets in a few months time. I could be wrong and their could be counter-counter methods to combat what is currently beiong implemented. Unfortunately I'm not privi to such information so I can only guess.

Those with servers could jump on the cable bandwagon and carry on their merry way if their expertise allows.

If your a genuine customer using a Thomson Box, then your not ok.

Just called Sky (for the last 2 hours) and their technical team have no idea what's going on.

I just acted like a standard customer, and I've been fobbed off with everything from "We'll resend the signal" to "You need a new viewing card".

I'm actually going to play dumb throughout to see where it takes me.

It's clearly the end of the line for using my own box (Which is all I wanted), No I'm going to fight for as many freebies as I can while they sort it.

This is not very good news.

It's the risk you take, just hope a work around can get sorted.
