Yes indeed. You might need to add some channels manually because their frequency would have changed. I find king of sat handy for finding frequencies.Comment

Can anyone help with the above...or maybe point me in the right direction?Hi. I bought 3 x O'boxes. First 2 - no problems.
Yesterday, tried to setup the 3rd - but hit a snag. Whilst the box worked otherwise and showed FTA channels, when I tried to network the box - no joy. The light that should indicate a network connection doesn't come on.
However, if I test the same network cable on my dm500 - there's no problem.
By the way, ive been using this via ethernet homeplugs. Is that some sort of issue with the S9??
I'm at a loss as to how to troubleshoot further? The vendor confirmed to me that this was not ' a known issue'. Does the above ring any bells with anyone else?Comment

I got my box today. Installed the latest firmware and a multi channel list v1.70 accessible from the attachments link on this thread and set up my cam. I'm pretty happy. The tuner is definitely keener than the old Nokia sat dbox2 I've been using.
I do have couple of problems though...
1/ The channel list I have isn't the best. It looks like it was just a list of satellites. The favourites aren't organised and it's a bit of a faff finding a channel atm. I see the attachment "Astra28.2openboxchannels.rar" mentioned earlier in the thread but I can't find it. Can anyone give me a link?
EDIT: Found it - the link for the channel list is here
2/ I'm also suffering the crackling audio issue. It seems to happen when the audio level is on high output, like an exciting part of the movie. I have a Panasonic LCD and have tried playing with the audio settings on that. I've changed the Openbox audio output options as described above all without success. I've just switched the video output to YUV from RGB and will see how that goes tonight. I'm currently connected via SCART as I didn't get a HDMI cable with the box. A HDMI is due to arrive on my doorstep this week and hopefully that will sort the issue out, but if anyone else has had this problem and managed to resolve it I'd love to know how it was done.

Maybe try keeping the volume of the box down, and turn up the volume of the tv or vice versa. Im only trying to think of solutions, this might do nothing.I got my box today. A bit 'o' cracklin on the line
Hi All, I've notice a few comments about problems of crackling audio, a few following points may help,
1)try re-routing your cable it may be picking up interference from other cables and boxes, if it reduces you may need a cable with a filter
2) go into your audio section of your TV and adjust your sound frequencies (remembering where they were before adjustment) it may just be a select frequency your picking up crackling.

Cheers all. I've had some success so far by switching audio channels from AC3 to PDR on the channels where the problem occurs.
I've also noticed that the SD versions of Sly Prem and + 1 aren't clearing. I guessed it was the favourites list being out of date but I've done another scan and cannot find them in the channel list.
Is anyone else having this problem? Have the channels been rebadged? Can anyone with them clearing tell me what they're called in the S9 channel list?
Cheers
edit: I sorted this by finding the transponder on lyngsat and then manually scanning it. I then managed to update the favourites. The GUI is a bit clunky on these boxes but they do the job.Last edited by Timmaa; 5 December, 2010, 18:08.Comment

I have tried every piece of equipement in my house that has a HDMI connection and everything plays thru my 50 inch tv no problems ( 2 DVD Players, Markus 750, Xbox etc ). Only openbox will not play thru 50 inch tv. 3 different leads tried no joy. Openbox plays fine thru 22 inch on HDMI. Anyone got any ideas
