Well thst firmware should be fine

You could either try reinstalling it as may be corrupt or drop back to the november think it was 3/11 or 16/11 not quite sure, befor you uplad firmware in tool restore box to default then upload firmware

Well ll just use the one you already got first if that dont fix things (it should) then yes use the link above, its dated a few days after the firmware im using

and omfg , do i feel such a tool ,
When changing from the dodgy hdmi connection to componant , i forgot to tell the tv and also left the hdmi cable in , subsequently throughout my tests on "componant" i was actually still on the hdmi line .
reflashed firmware , same issue , had another look within settings and spotted 720p 50 , and 720 60 , was on 60 , switched to 50 and now seems perfect . my tv must not support 60htz refresh , only 50 and this caused the black screen problems ,

bit embarrassed to admit my errors but thought i would update incase anyone else is a pure ****in retard like myself

Hi,
Im a new member to this forum although i have visited many times. The info on here is great. I've had a dm 500s for about 3 months now and its been great (except epg). I have now ordered a openbox s9 to take advantage of its high definition (and perhaps equally bad epg??) It should arrive in the next couple of days, i've read up on how to update firmware, channel lists and enter cline details etc. But what is the actual latest firmware that everyone uses and where did you download it?

The list you have used is it for the correct firmware version, did it upload correctly as this seems to sound like your ploblem

That is the official firmware with no modifications ie channel lists, clines orbackground images changes

Thanks for posting the lists on here, but can I ask you how do you move the channels up and down the lists in the editor programme ???

I can add channels to lists but cannot get them to move up and down to where I would like them.

Yellow button, (move), select prog then move it up or down m8, press select again to dump it where you want it.
