openbox s9

isn't it about time they addressed the box rebooting problem. It is been a problem quite a long time now and until they get this problem sorted I would not recommend this box to anyone.

maybe they will concentrate their efforts on the openbox s10 and not bother about sorting out problems on the openbox S9.

I check every day in the hope that they've released firmware that resolves this problem, but to no avail.

does anybody even know whether they are working on the problem?

Are you sure the rebooting issue you have is not down to corrupt channels, the list i upload is free of channels that reboot the s9

As kev stated theres plenty of channel lists over the last2-3 months with the rebooting problem channels removed.

Yep, any problems can be sorted in a couple of minutes. Small price to pay in my opinion for a great little box.
I'm using Kev's dump (so to speak) and all's good.

Just some of the sly sports channels and sly news for me. There is a few versions of these channels, some have problem , some dont. It only takes 5 mins to sort it in fairness. Not a deal breaker imo.

No corrupt channels are missing, i edit the corrupt channel so it works fine

Can you point me to your channel list mate? My openbox is coming monday so want to get all the files together that I need.

Yes thats the correct firmware, the channel list is on the previous few pages

Just Ordered My Openbox S9

Hi All,

Thought I would introduce myself !

I'm Rob from Liverpool UK

I have just ordered my Openbox S9 from Ebay so I will probably need some help when it arrives.

I decided to opt for the Openbox rather than the Dreambox due to the information I have read saying that its really a no frills box, I am not yet ready to tinker so we will see how it goes.

Am i right in thinking its relatively straight forward to configure ?

Can I update firmware by USB drive or do I need to order a special cable ?

No lead needed bud unless your using an external drive then youd need a usb lead or you could just use a usb stick

Openboxes are very easy to use and configure

Cheap boxed but fantastic HD picture

Cardsharing works like a charm

No special cable needed just a usb stick / drive

The openbox is very easy to configure its fairly straight forward, plenty people on here inc me will help you out

Im well happy with the s9 HD box at a cracking price

Hi can someone give me the latest channel list dump please. I have tried to arrange the listing but some channels just loops my box, I have a openbox s9.

Either scan the sat for channels or upload a channel list to your box I would imagine

The channels section is greyed out and i cant scan.

sorry forgtot to tell you reebooting was before i uploaded your channel file
it was due to sky sports 1 hd

after upaloding your channel list its all ok no reebooting.
