Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

Everytime i try i get wrong p/w, u/n or port...do i need
to set something in my box before i try ? if so where
in the settings is it.

use latest,run as adminstrater in win7 and vista
if your dreambox is dm800 be sure webinterface is active

thanks man updated to 6.1.0 and now the preview from stream internet address works, seriously dude great contribution to this site and many others your computer wisdom is amazing and thank you for breaking it down for people that are not as intelligent as you when it comes to this stuff, great work man.

I was using 6.1.0 and vlc 0.8.6 it was working everything fine but when I upgraded vlc to 1.1.4 I am having black screen. Maybe some kind of setting will solve the problem, can somebody please help. Congratulation for the great work that is being carried out on this forum.

thanks
program uses what called vlc activex and this activex produced by vlc team
after version 1.1 vlc team stop support to this activex so the program will not work with vlc 1.1 and above
best version to use with program is .99, however you can use any version up to 1.0.5
less than .99 is not advised

i think the problem in installation of vlc
uintsall vlc from your pc
reboot windows then install version .99
if no success with version try version 1.0.5

Sorry for my persistance but after I done what you said the problem remain the same vlc 0.8.6i OK the others NO, black screen.

my program is not stable with older vlc and works good with you
and does not work with recent version where should be
try to run vlc version 1.0.5 and copy dreambox ip to vlc and see,does it work

hi mate,
Please can i just pick your brain you know the dreambox web control where you can stream your channels, i just wondered why i can only stream locally for 5-10 mins then i have to click on it again and it works again for 5-10mins do you know why this happens is this what you program will solve ??

consistency,integrity and continuation of stream from dreambox to pc and through internet depends on following
-dreambox image,best pli and worst gemini,this apply only for enigma1 dreambox
-The way of which dreambox or pc connected with network,best by cables and worst by wireless
-language of windows you are using,program designed with windows language to be English,to solve the problem with other windows languages use vlc
version .99
-Lastly the settings for contents of stream ,to solve change the stream settings from settings and test ad see

Dreambopx streaming

The streaming starts and then stops I suspect because I am trying to use Gemini Image.
I use Gemini Image beause of its cardshXXXXXing capabilities.
Will the recommended image give me the same capabilities.

if you use dm500 then most of the images give you cardshar?***g capabilities and i am using pli jade with shar**ing and it is very good

Put Jade on and it streams locally alot better than Gemini--many thanks and CCcam works fine.
My problem now is getting it to stream outside my router using dyndns which is giving me headaches.
I know its me, I have put the port forwarding as VLC streamer suggests but can I see it --can I hell.
I understand about lack of local loopback. I have swiched off my firewall on the streaming pc.
It streams locally just fine. My problem I suspect is trying to setup DynDns properly. I supose I will have to percivere.
It would be nice if someone could simply explain how to test my dysdns using a less complicated application.

Tunisia Sat Streaming with Dreambox 500s

Can I just say thanks for all the help.
I am now using PLi Jade image on the dreambox, VLC 1.0.5 Streamer, have set static ip's on my Dreambox and the streaming PC, sorted my way thri DYNDNS system( it takes a few hours for Dyndns servers to be active after install) and I am streaming perfectly using Tunisia Sat.
Once again many thanks I am just off to try the Tunisia Sat Player on the pub's PC.
