Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

I have tried every fix that I have found on the net, Its ok on my local network, But still cant get it to stream over the net, Why is it so difficult to get this working.

Think I will give up

i to was thinking the same but it dos work i was test streaming to my brother overseas was a bit jerky but was not bad.

i had tried to use this before but did not get anywhere, installed again but had more problems installing and trying to open it!

so i reformatted my pc, which was about time anyway.
i did the following

pli-jade max var image on dm500s
vlc-0.9.9-win32 on pc
updated my no-ip dns

port forward port 1234 to my pc
port forward port 5678 to my pc

installed Tunisiasat_dreambox_player_and_webstreamer_6.1.0 on pc

then i just hit Start Streaming, i can then see thhe link
mms://mydns.org:1234

i just gave this to my brother and he opened url with media player.

Thanks for the info simbad16, I may have another try to get it working, But if you look at the number of views 94,211 There is not many saying that they have it working.

silly questions

is your domain updated to your current IP?
did you select start restreaming, traffic light should turn from green to red. sometimes i have to start-stop and start again. then it starts streaming

another thing i notice cpu usage goes up too 100% so i make a point to close all other programs

I have 6.1.0 working on my DM800 with the New Dream Elite image. I see that when it is streaming to the web, the red light flashes and all the other channels are greyed except for channels on the same transponder so I cannot change a channel with the remote controller. Sometimes this continues even after closing the streaming program and the DM800 thinks it is still recording so I have to reboot. It's not a problem but I'm wondering if anyone else sees this or whether it is just my setup that's causing it.

I have been trying to get this working with no success (on my home network).

On the DM800 web interface, the WebTV does not work. If I click the icon beside a channel for 'TV' then I get the download m2u file which I can open in VLC.

The stream opens in VLC and after a while will end (sometimes only a few seconds and other times a few minutes)

When I run this program, it never shows any picture. I just get the VLC icon and I am able to see the channel listings.

If I hit re-stream then it shows me the URLs momentarily and then stops!

can this work vise versa where i can stream pc to dreambox u may have to use vlc frontend plugin on dreambox

i have now since changed my dm500 with vu+ solo i just changed dreambox model from 500 to 800 and all is still working fine.

you need to be specific
do you in pc ts palyer you got no connection with dreambox
if this this the case in settings checl dreambox ip is correct,is the pc and dreambox connected to same network,is there firewall block the dreambox ip,is the webinterface is enabled and active
note the dreambox webinterface in many clone images is not working and you need to fix
try to dreambox ip in internet explorere what you get?

Dream-box IP is correct and i checked it.
The dream-box IP works fine in Firefox browser !
No , dream-box and PC are in deffrient network.
Firewall is Off.
Locally TS player works fine with PC and get connect when both are in the same connection !
