Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

for anyone interested in trying this and lucky enough to have a 1meg upload my current settings are;

mmsh
mp4
h264
600
0.60
mp3
80kb/s
2 chan

although this can still be improoved on its not bad at all !

also when entering the address in vlc use mmsh rather than mms it loads almost straight away (thanks Mfaraj57 I did spot reference to this in your earlier post)

dm600 only on lan,but tried this had no probs in settin it up
and now i can watch me dm from outside of me lan,i even
got the mobile version set up so i can watch on me nokia 95 8gb
but i had to uninstalled the 5.0.0 version,while i was testing the
mobile version i noticed if you put it on the setting and and tick
the high box for internet speed profile this picture breaks up
while streamin,but put it on medium and the picture was brill
watched a film earlier on me fone and had no probs

have download speed 4500 kb/s and sending speed 210kb/s what is the best setup for me ,, to get the picture,, i know will not be good quality but not freezing all the time thats all I want.

I have managed to stream but the problem is ,, its freezing and or nothing at all,, but when Im watching at home,, it no problem at all,, just when Im watching over inter some where else its not working,, and I think its because of my setup,,

It would be nice to know how to calculate the setup to get steaming over internet


My setup is using vlc 1.0.1 is :
Encapsulation MPEG - TS
Video codec H-264 at 256 kb/s - scale 0.4
Audio MP3 64 kb/s 1 channel

The result is Freez not working


Using your program Tunisa sat dreambox player..... on low works buut every 10 secounds buffring and works and buffring etc.

what is the solution please????

this latest version,although it has many improvements and many thanks for all your hard work on them,just refuses to load the channel list from the 7020.a few people on dudez have reported the same problem when using a 7020.ian.

Qaulity of streaming depends on many factors include the quality of source stream(depend on dreambox image for enigma1 dreambox),transcoding codecs and the enviroment in which transcoding going to be done(cpu,envirement different codecs and interactions,adapter card...) and finally and most important internet upload speed
You need to be sure about theses factors and pli-jade image is the best for dream500 or other enigma1 dreamboxes
others i prefer to do streaming while other applications closed to free cpu as much as possible
Borthers saintomer,ian1095,rruunneerr posted very useful compination of codecs and you can follow them up and in dudez and to choose the best for you
Your upload speed is considered to be low(around 200kb/s) so you have to compress video stream as much as possible to reduce its size in cost of quality to be carried easily be internet wires
finally mp4a is better to be combined with h264 than mp3
download latest update and from advance use different combinations and see what the result can acheive

i released this special update to demonstrate the ability to show hd channels from dm500 by pc so it is not complete update .
Today i will post the latest stable update
updating software is continuous process and your and my friends posts here and in dudez are very helpful to make improvement in the software and the last note about dm7020 i s good and i am going to fix it in this final release.
The update fix and add the following
1-the software can work in presence of latest versions of vlc 1.0.1 and 1.0.0
2-fix the playing language and the streaming language
3-can watch channel in dream and play or stream different channel by the program ( in enigma2 dreamboxes)

how are you able to lock onto a signal using DVB-S2 8PSK with a DM500 that only has a DVB-S tuner in the first place,to then be able to stream it to your pc to be able to watch it?

Hd channels are two type dvb-s1 and dvb-s2
Pictures above for hd channels from dvb-s1
skycinema hd is dvbs-s2 but i could not stream it to pc tell now
