Thanks guys. I have tried with Telnet, but had many problems.
When I type in telnet:
cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot
I get the error:
-sh: eraseall: not found
I will probably give up and use the DreamUp method instead !
Thanks

Newbirth you just need to do the following..
Go to the RUN command in windows..
type telnet 192.168.x.x (replace the x with the rest of your ip address)
log in with user / pass
type..
cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img
then use your FTP prog to copy the backup.img to your pc hard drive..
the code you were using.
is to flash an image not the code to back upcd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

No Guys. I did everything using the code
In telnet I get:cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot
-sh: eraseall: not found
My dreambox is the DB 800 HD. I think this is not working for DM 800 because it does not use .img images
Any ideas?Last edited by NewBirth2010; 15 August, 2009, 07:44.Comment

what you trying to do is for enigma1 images, dm800 is enigma2
these telnet and dreamup will not backup enigma2 images
if using barryallen theres an option to backup image of everything in image
or save your settings via software manager to hdd or usb
then every time you reflash it will pick up your settings channels/bouquets/timers/ip setting/not the cams or pluginsLast edited by westkill; 16 August, 2009, 14:16.dm800-s=1.1 m triax motorised dish=titanium twin lnb
