I now got the picon but i have noticed that i only getting half picon and not full when switching all channels is there a setting so i spread the picons wide so i see full picon channel name thanks

If you are using a DM800 try putting them here

/usr/share/enigma2/

Copy the folder and contents into that path

I have 500HD Newenigma2 opened DCC media/cf transfered picon file into CF changed the skin picon location on the box to CF/media/cf rebooted the box
still not getting full channel naming on picons
I would never touch other picon pack bec your is the best

I'm reading with your image Picons are skin dependant, The may need resized for your Skin, Try another skin to rule out that error

i tried 2 skins and there still the same problem. on HD Skin no picon

Hi try as SGT says set mine to run from hdd could never get to work so changed to run from usr/share/enigma2.
On my image Neverland PP 2.2 i had about 12meg free after installing the image now got about 9meg dont think the DM500HD likes using the HDD for these. Also CF does not exist as this box does not have a flash card slot.

ok but what will i select on skin picon location thats on the box for it reboot and work?

On my image i went to addons navigated to picons, then you are asked where to install, i selected internal memory it then downloaded a set of picons from the internet PP server to usr/share/enigma2 navigated to this location with dcc deleted the picon folder and copied this one in its place worked for me. Also did the same when running Gemini 5.1 downloaded the sky picons from the gemini server.
My hd skins also download to usr/share/enigma2

@ SGT i have spent some time moving some channels around mostly asian ones
just wanted to know if i update to your lastest file will i lose all the settings

anyone out there using 500HD with Newenigma2 need help channel scanning

not using newenigma2 but am using gp5.0 with usals and it scans perfectly... have you tried the gemini image on your box ?

Last night on the DM800 I couldn't get the Picons to show for a mate so dumped them in usr/share/enigma2 and they worked straight away.

Bluebox that image you are using seems to be a pain in the ass, I'm using the latest DreamElite

i using this Newnigma image, could not get picons to work. I found out the normal "picon" folder does not work for a HD skin for this image. You will have to name the folder "piconHD", now all work for me.

Thanks i sent you pm. are still putting piconHD file in DCC media/cf or are you selecting something else in DCC? also what will i select on skin picon location thats on the box

ok tried putting picons in /usr/share/enigma2/

What is the setting you do in "Skin Picon Location" as my box does not have hdd or flash card slot

aleast in media/cf i getting smaller size picon. with others usr/share/E2 getting nothing on screen

if you have no flash card, you will get nothing putting picons in media/cf, as cf is a flash card storage area
