i know this is the updates and you can delete if you want

I have added an internal HDD to my dm800 and i have added picons into loads of dfferent locations but they still dont show up
Do i have to do anything to the box?

I have added to variuos folders and now i have in teh etc folder loads of picon files ...so i have to scroll right to the bottom to get to the cccam file .

OOOPS and i never made a backup of my boxes files..so will i have to delete them one by one ?

You need to transfer the folder, Not just the files, Each location I have added in my post also needs the folder and files sent to that location.

If you are only using Sky picons I recommend you putting the files here

/usr/share/enigma2

So transfer the Folder & files to that location and it will work

thats wher ei have them /usr/share/enigma2/picon/

but still dont show up on the box is there a setting on the box i need to adjust etc?

No setting they should automatically load

I've never heard of them not showing from being in that location, Very weird

Silly question, but did you copy the complete picon folder to /usr/share/enigma2/picon/ - if you did, then the picons themselves would be in /usr/share/enigma2/picon/picon and not work. The picon folder needs to be in /usr/share/enigma2/

i must have buggered something up but i dont want to clog this up with my probs as its for updates only

Dunno why...my skin is Enigma2HD

will that affect things i have tried different skins etc and all produce the same

I must have messed some setting sup somewhere i am sure

I will be doing Enigma2 Multi Bouquet, But will not for Enigma1 as it takes too long to remove every HD channel from all satellites, Easily too do yourself if you have the time.


** Edit your own BBC & ITV Regional channels to suit your needs in DreamboxEdit (If you are from Ireland, I've renamed all Irish channels so easy for you to find) **

Also added Picons for Sky UK , 
All correctly mapped and a few obscure ones missing only

Use any FTP client, DCC for example, to transfer the picon directory to 
one of the following paths on Flash, HDD, CF or USB respectively:

/usr/share/enigma2
NOT recommended, because of limited capacity of the flash memory

/media/hdd
HDD will keep running indefinitely and may affect image performance

/media/cf
Recommended if CF available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

/media/usb
Recommended if USB available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

Picon will display immediately on zapping, no further setup required!

Always remove old picons from Dreambox before uploading new ones, 
Sometimes they don't overwrite correctly
