can't get to the dish and don't know where the hell it is pointing now after all the messing about i have done. if i fit up my fortecstar unit that i know works and get that onto 28.2 then disconnect every thing it should stay in the same place then connect up the dream box and see if it works on 28.2

Cant understand if hes putting in correct long and lat it should work,what would the long and lat be regarding East and North?
Thats what mine is and im in Nottingham.
Cant see what more he needs to do to get a channel

If you can move your dish with another unit then there must be a problem in your configuration of the tuner. If you like I will walk you through my setup it should be same as you have if not then problem solved but I need an hour before I can do that.

not trying to make a tit out of you mate , but you are hooking up to the "in" and not the "out" on your dm800

try setting it up for a static dish , you should pull a signal if the dish is alligned correctly and pointing at 28.2 e

Think i would do a reflash and put Dream Elite Phoenix Edition on it.
Image that most on here either have or know their way around.It could be a bad flash but it will take 5 mins to flash and start from scratch you have nothing to lose.

yeh , i agree with andy , if there is no tone aplitude section on tuner config then summit aint right .

if so i would re-download and reflash the image again mate

setup 800 to screen only and removed all the settings for motorised and just set to single lnb, then i connected my old unit and set it to 28.2 the dish has moved to 28.2 switched off the box un plugged everything so dish should stay in same position, i then connected to 800 up selected astra 28.2 went to granada n/west and nothing no signal strength and after about 20 second got a message to say tune failed that is what i have been getting all the time.

bought the box done and ready and the chap has changed it for me today for another box, had the same problem on both boxes.

check your connections mate , the dm800 tuner may be more sensitive than the other box you got,

also did you see the guy swap it , or is it possible he blagging you

Daft question but is the network set up on the box?
If it is you can retrieve information which we cant talk about to much but it will let you start from afresh with a new image.
How much did you pay by the way?
Guessing this came with a gift of sorts.

used network today to download cats eyes on the box i took back so would think this will go on network ok
