Edit your own BBC & ITV Regional channels to suit your needs in DreamboxEdit (If you are from Ireland, I've renamed all Irish channels so easy for you to find)


DreamboxEdit :- Download DreamboxEdit from SourceForge.net

Also added Picons for Sky UK (Base set from Picon4U) and the rest   updated by myself

Use any FTP client, DCC for example, to transfer the picon directory
to one of the following paths on Flash, HDD, CF or USB respectively:

/usr/share/enigma2
NOT recommended, because of limited capacity of the flash memory

/media/hdd
HDD will keep running indefinitely and may affect image performance

/media/cf
Recommended if CF available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

/media/usb
Recommended if USB available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

Picon will display immediately on zapping, no further setup   required!

Can anyone please help.
I can transfer the files with dreamboxedit but when i then Hit "Update Settings to Dreambox" button i get an error about "cannot connect to dreambox on IP X.X.X.X"

I have managed it just ONCE in about 50 attempts, this happened when rebooting everything and having various dreamboxedits open.

Its a DM500C with Jade PlI image. I know all the paths are correct as it worked once!

Sometimes when you ftp the files and the box doesn't update, a reboot usually sorts it out

Unless you have set a Static IP for your Dreambox the IP might change.

Off the top of my head wth Pli do this, Menu > 6 > System settings > Network and check to see what IP is assigned, Use that IP in your Dreamboxedit profile then you can FTP the files over

I have a static IP, I can always FTP the files, but Here are the errors I get:

I see you have enigma2 listed there.


Try this Options > Profiles, Find your Profile and click Cable receiver at the bottom, Save and try again.

When it does work (1 in 50 attempts) i get:

Network response: +ok
First of two steps completed.
Network response: +ok
Second of two steps completed.
Reload command ready.

As ive managed to get your great bouquet on I guess I can worry about this another time and edit it slightly on the box

hi mate, im trying to put your bouquet on dm500s, when i try through dreamboxedit i get the error code "contains no services or lamedb file" any ideas whats wrong thanks.

Make sure your set to enigma 1 in dreamboxedit. If that doesn't work try a different version of dreamboxedit
