hey guys i need to jtag my dreambox need some questions answering..
1) which wire(cable) is needed to connect the dreambox to my pc? does it have to be male to male or female to male?
2) does my dreambox need a jtag if no lights are on the front but i can hear the dreambox humming???

Hello Friends,
I would like if someone could help me to tell me to do because the jtag ends after three days and the machine does nothing nor dreamup related or something else I tried to connect to the dreamflash but nothing.

My dreambox 500s the green led is flashing very fast and doesn't bootup anymore. When i view it in console mode with serial cable and powerup de dreambox it produce one and the same character on screen over and over again very fast.

I think i have to reflash the bootloader but made a jtag cable the version with 5 resistors of 100ohm 0.5watt and measured the resistors but they are not exactly 100ohm all some are 98 ohm. I made this cable as short as possible and tried to flash it with the dos program posted here but without success.

Nou i try make the jtag with a 74LC245 ic but i am wondering where to connect the "Vcc 20" - Vcc 3.3V ?

I think you can use any JTAG as far as there are signals TDO,TDI,TCK,TMS.Not sure if HALT is required for the software

Green LED is on, flashing the Bootloader with DOS & also Windows Version works. But I cannot flash the Box with Dreamup. It hangs at "upload completed, waiting for acknowledge". I try many differnet DreamUP versions. I also try many different bootloaders. Always the same. Green LED is on, Dreamup & patched Dreamups doesnt work.

But I get an Output on Serial Port after some time.
