How to Repair Dead DM500S With JTAG

The problem is that jtagdm500 (the jtag utility under DOS) is useless for dm500c (it only writes boots for terrestial and satellite boxes).

Hi!
Is there any way to wake up a clone dm500C that stops on boot. Boot logo displays but nothing more.

It worked for a couple of days with som hang ups so i flashed it with EDg nemesis 4,4 to try this instead. It has worked perfectly before.
But same unstability. Now it doesnt complete boot-up.

The clone doesnt reply on serial port with dreamup and did not do so when working either.

Ive looked around and maybe Jtag could work?

the problem is it stopped working, the green light is on. nothing works an noghing is showing on the screen. also the remote controller is dead. what should I do?

hi,

i am also new and trying to help my boyfriend with his DM 500s. I think its a clone but haven't been able to download the bomb checker yet. I can find and connect to DM500 using Dreamup, but when I try to upload the image file pli-Jade-dm500-20090627-6494 I get an error message:

6:42:23 PM box type: DM500
6:42:31 PM Ping result: OK, box is alive and speaking to us ;-)
6:42:36 PM Uploading file to box...
6:42:44 PM ERROR , upload aborted!

So if the box is alive am I correct that if it is indeed a clone it hasn't been bombed (in other words, I don't have to JTAG). Am i using the correct image? Can anyone help? we have been trying to flash the box for days now.
