XeroxUk, I have got the same issue like yours.
I have tried all the ways with different dreamup version and different images, but same msg even with the patched dreram box.
When I attach the box I get this this:
19:15:24 box type: DM500
19:15:34 Ping result: OK, box is alive and speaking to us ;-)
And then I flashed with erase.img, I get this:
Box was flashed sccessfully!

Now I flashed the original image, after a while comes this:
ERROR,upload aborted!


Is the box still working or dead???

Finally, I got it working!!
Firstly, I i used patched DreamUp to flash the box with erase.img (I did twice) then without disconnecting I patched pliJade image and it went through.Connecting to tele and works fantastic.

I guess the DreamUp updated version, detects pirate dreamboxes and that is why it refuses to work correctly.

I have the same problem, with USB-COM cable and Windows 7.

nothing wrong with it, just downloaded the file I attached, unzipped it and executed Dreamup.

Try flashing this erase image first and then retrying the pli image.
