Dreambox Stuck

Hi I followed your guide and now my dreambox will not boot

I have a HD installed which was working fine

My enigma2.sh file reads the following :

Is there a way to factory restore before booting ? IT wont boot

It sounds like you may have to reflash ? when you turn the box off and turn it back on holding the button on the box at the same time, until an ip address comes up ? if so reflash the image again through the web interface, it takes a few minutes then run throigh the set up again.

i had alot of problems with trying to get cross epg,

there is a post i made on best image for dm800 clone

it tells you how i got full 7 cross epg and what image i used.

its working perfect now.

YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE CACHE FILE NAME TO EPG.DAT, otherwise it will not work.

im having trouble with the remote to change "gemini.epg.dat" to just "epg.dat". How do you delete characters using remote or is there a file i can edit which would make it easier.

box uses gemini 5.1

I dont believe nobody knows how to do this,, come on spill the beans, ive tried every button on remote and all it does is add characters just cant seem to delete characters.......

I'm able to delete using the < button to the left of the 0 key, this should work for you

Thanks for that, the buttons either side of the "< 0 >" brings up the hand with the slash through indicating this action is not valid. This is getting me down now as crossepg installed and this is the last bit to do and i cant edit the bloody filename = gemini.epg.dat

cant you just type over it ,i cant delete either but retyping works for me although im having a completely different problem

at this stage i dont have the 2nd option preferred lamedb

which plugins should be installed for this to work ?
graphmultiepg? if so i tried downloading it but it dosnt seem to install properly

I dont have that option either "lamdb" it might be that option has been removed from the version that we have installed than the one from the first page. i have CrossEpg 0.6.2 svn 300 installed.
Crossepg seem to be working as i have data for many days, but its not displayed in the layout of the first page.

right finally i have it downloading and saving the data for the 7 days epg . But when i go to info multi epg it still only has the options of whats on now and next .
I tried downloading graphmulti epg from the box(dm800) but it wont install, is there somewhere online i can download this from and ftp it to the tmp folder

i press info>MultiEpg>then chose bouquet> then i have options Now-Next-More. Once i select more i can advance in time.
Would prefer a nice layout as in first page tho.

Oh and if i select buquet all my channels have a listing of whats on which i didnt have before.

Dont worry about being a noob, im one to and we all have to start somewhere.

EPG NEWBE HELP

Hi thanks for the epg help when i get to cross epg config i have no prefered lamedb listed is this a problem also i get to open tv providers but there are no sats listed the file is empty so nothing will download when i go into the blue panel i change the settings and save them reboot go back in and they have all changed back to the original settings.
you say change the cache file name to EPG.DAT do you mean in the settings or do i physicaly need to change the name if so what directory will i find it in.

tried doning the epg and omg it was going fine and
then i went and hit install cross epg and the whole dm seemed to start a full download and panic hit me turned off the
box and now it is not booting fully stuck on the second o in boot
what should I do ? never flashed or anything any and all advice please thanks guys

tryed this crossepg onto my dreambox 800hd rebooted the box now i cant get my box to work keeps rebooting tryed to reflash but will not reflash eny help please
