Tried this and don't know why it doesn't work.
Doesn't make any sense.

I've followed the instruction to a tee and everything seemed to work.

It downloads the epg data successfully, even populates the epg.dat file in /media/hdd/ since its about 6GB.

When I go to the blue menu -> settings -> epg everything is saved correctly and correctly points to the /media/hdd/epg.dat

However when I click menu->information->epg it says 8 events in 4 services and the multi epg has very basic information just on the channels i've previously browsed.

It still seems to be looking at the old epg settings even though i've now changed this.

fyi i'm using a cloned dm800hd gemini 2 with latest cams 2.2.1 and enigma 2 image installed.

A few people have had the problem where the hdd is not seen in crossepg configuration.Has anyone found a solution that does not involve removing the hdd?.My hdd works fine for recording so it seems to be mounted in rw, but crossepg does not see it.

Hi thanks for the epg help when i get to cross epg config i have no prefered lamedb listed is this a problem also i get to open tv providers but there are no sats listed the file is empty so nothing will download when i go into the blue panel i change the settings and save them reboot go back in and they have all changed back to the original settings.
you say change the cache file name to EPG.DAT do you mean in the settings or do i physicaly need to change the name if so what directory will i find it in.

I am using dreamelite blackhole and have tried this on my db800 pvr.

I can't get that epg look on the tv. All I get when I try for single EPG is the listings in a straight line from top to bottom of the screen, but I don't get the epg grid system.

Any ideas anybody?

you need to press 3 multi epg

All I get if I do that is a list of things that are on hotbird. Nothing to do with astra

yours might be different on cross epg I was referring to mine which is rytec I thought it would be the same for you but maybe not

If you're having problems with the crossepg then it may be the version you are using because my mate had the same problem with the new version not working correctly and when he tried the version i'm using it worked straight away ,might just be coincidence but may be worth trying this version crossepg_0.6.2-svn-260-r0_mipsel.ipk.
