if you want you can install oscam+cccam and delete the cccam side of things and just use oscam ,then all you need are the oscam configs and your away .no need for cccam but your client boxes can still use cccam .

oscam can update your card ,but its probably wise to return the card to the sly box atleast once a month .

Its fine just to AU on its own, Mine been in with OScam alone and not a single problem and thats with feed and with out a feed for testing purposes.

cccam/oscam on open pli dm800

hello friends,
I want use cccam / oscam on my dm800 with open pli image,
if I only use oscam as cardserver my locally card is read.
but if I activate Softcam cccam 2.0.9 and oscam as cardserver together, than works only cccam 2.0.9, oscam don't work, locally card are only read by cccam.
what is wrong can someone help me.

First things first I am not sure if CCcam209 can read 0963 card.

Also with Pli image ( and others ) there is a time issue with starting cardserver and emu.

Basically what happens is that CCcam starts before oscam has finished.

What I do is telnet to box and start oscam first and make sure its running, then open another telnet box and start CCcam ( Use 2.1.3 ).

Try it.

I was hoping someone could help me. I have a DM500s with Nabilosat DM500 v.0.8 on it with CCCam 2.1.2 and NewCS 1.67. Everything works just fine. My only issue is that the entitlements on my card do not update and my understanding is that this is because I need 2.1.3 or newer CCCam. My issue is that whenever I try and install a newer version with NewCS attached, it just doesn't install the add-on. I was wondering if this was a consequence of not enough memory or something, and if you had any advice anyone might be able to give me.

If you don't have enough room in var then you wont be able to install it.

You need to delete something and then install CCcam_2.1.3 this will work on its own and update card but be warned PICK TV will not open with CCcam.

It might be idea to read up on oscam because its the future.

if you have installed oscam+cccam you would be better off to delete the cccam side of it and just use oscam ,what im saying is to delete cccam.cfg (which can be found in var/etc) and delete the cccam binary (which can be found in var/bin) the bin file will likely just be called cccam . you will need to modify your oscam configs slightly and then retart oscam+cccam (of course cccam is not used )pick will probably open without the need to modify the oscam configs but you understand they would need modifying in order to share the card.
