lighten up on him lads, we were all new at one point and to be fair he was being told one thing from us and another from elsewhere
I tried all setting in my tele but still doesnt work.... I cant see the full info panel at the right bottom.

Secondly, I get error message of Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 161001............

I think there is a problem either with superhub (virgin) or dreambox ....... the guy who set up. he told me to buy vu, as he think that vu is much better quality box and it has less errors and he further mentioned that dream multimedia doesn't have a team which can release better software as other receiver does..

anyway.. I still need a dream box doctor ... here

Same for all boxes. Go into your network and enable Dhcp and reboot the box you should have connection. As a rule gateway ip and nameserver should match but on Virgin you sometimes have to use 194.168.4.100 as primary nameserver and 194.168.8.100 as secondary try that and do a network test and see if you have connection. Personally I use a static ip address and have Dhcp switched off.
Whether you have a dreambox or vu you will still have the same network problem. Both are good enigma 2 boxes.

try the settings in the box menu, menu-setup-system-av settings .
google chrome or any browser for that matter will not connect to an address that reads 161001 , try this format , replace the x with your box`s I-p numbers. http://192.168.xx.xxx:16001/

oh sorry I have been using 192.168.x.x.16001

It does sometimes show the server and all relevant info but sometime it just disappears and I am unable to connect with my dream and my dream also loose communication.

I know, most likely problem is with my superhub but I dont know what to do...

If your network is working I cant see what your problem is and what your trying to do.
I cant say to much without breaking forum rules.

I would say its a superhub issue rather than a dreambox issue, the superhub has a history of dropouts and flakey connections

Ive a supahub and it doesn't like fixed ip so Ive had to use a dynamic ip. Try it with Dhcp enabled,

                      Now I have another question,

Can I increase memory/ram of my dreambox to increase its speed and install more plugins?

Physically no, few software tweaks you can do but best to install as few plugins as possible to keep box running smooth and crash free

I found that tsimage more stylish and stable than pli but I ended up having pli in my system.....

My question is, do you think if there is any better image for original dream (anything better than open pli) ..... I will try in my box .... if there is any better image than pli and tsimage?

Pli is a fine image but it's all down to personal taste, they are pretty much all stable and perform as well as each other ,just a matter of personal preference, you just gonna have to experiment and see what you like
