NEW mini vu duo twin tuner dreambox hybrid !?

I have now got another of the same box the mini vu duo from the same chinese supplier. It's working fine on boxnation and bt sports hd. The other box still doing the same on them channels but all the rest are fine. Both are running the latest openvix. Anyone got any idea's now? do use think my box with the tune failed message on those channels is faulty?

Works on both the X-Duo and Mini Duo, although I use the patched Ferrari version as it appears to boot faster.

Spiked, how are you getting on, any updates on your situation. any contact with the supplier ?

I haven't bothered to contact them, I've just accepted that the box is dead as I've only been using it in the spare room. I did try the black hole method with usb but to no avail.

I contacted them, they said to send it back ( only with ems or registered post office) . Probably gonna cost a lot to do so.

I can't seem to get my box to flash the latest VIX image.
I've formatted my USB to FAT32 and using build 802.
The box just keeps booting straight into OPENPLI.
I've tried 2 USB's neither seem to be working, Do I need to flash a new bootloader first?

The X-Duo looks like a Solo2 and the Mini Duo looks like a DM800se. The X-Duo has more space inside with the fan on the rear (so slightly quieter), The Mini Duo is slightly quicker to install the HDD. Blackhole backups are easier with the X-Duo, with the Mini Duo you sometimes have to change the kernel_cfe_auto.bin to one from a raw image

Just an update, I have today purchased a new usb pen drive and tried to flash vix again and its worked 1st time. It seems to 2 usb flash drives I had tried to use were not liked by the mini vu duo (even tho the box recognised then when booted up in openpli).

the only variants in usb stick besides size is there format type, if you can check which file type they are formatted with it may clear things up a bit for other users, right-click + properties in windose and look what "file system" it says , maybe the working one is formatted to ext3 and none working are NTFS or fat32 ?

It had nothing to do with format type unfortunately. The 2 none working drives were tried as ext 3, fat and fat32. The working drive was formatted to fat32.

Lombard , tried blackhole and openpli, box dont wanna know.
cunny , have not tried rs232 method just yet been busy last few days
and spiked , that makes two of us with the same issue. Hopefully there will be a fix

Im in the same boat as trance and spiked. I installed a hdd and the box just went into a coma. Tried to flash numerous imaged on different usb sticks on all the usb ports unsuccessfully. Ive even tried to connect the box with a rs232 cable and cant get the vu util program to connect to the box to flash. has anybody got a solution?

Ive sent mine back to supplier, hopefully they receive it , fix it and send it back.

Hello, I received my vu + duo mini. I want to know if I install directly VIX 3.0, or if I do an update of the bootloader before, and update security. or both at the same time? thank you for your help
