There are no cloned Technomates. It will be out in january and will be less than ?200. It will be a good solid box with 3 versions. Not sure what the versions are . I would hold on for now.

Do you know if the Technomate will work just as good for CS as the cloned dreambox would?

I suppose the new technomate wont have any issues with powering the motor anyway!!?!?

From what Ive heard its not the tuner thats at fault, as someone at the DW forums said that they tried their clone tuner in an original receiver and it worked perfectly. So they came to the conclusion that something else on the board is wrong and not the tuner

Its a lot to do with the tuners being more sensitive, as they find errors more easily which lead to the glitching people see, some people may try tuner in original box and it works fine, but then again, i plugged one DM800 which frooze a lot n to a sky dish, no freezing at all.. cheap lnb and cable does not help.

guys, what are the clues to tell if the tuner in your clone is borked? I have tried an inline amp, but still get some breakup on hd channels

I got the same problem, Tune failed but only on Discovery HD/Disney HD/SCI-FI HD...any ideas
