Tune Failed - DM800 - How to solve??

id also try making sure you dish is set up exactly, i have a legit 800 and a motorised dish, i experienced this tune failed when i first set my dish and box up, i was out with the dish setup and it would show channels ok but the hd i got the tune failed, a tweak east on the dish via the 800 settings upped the % enough for them to clear.

the % it was at was good enough for standard channels but not hd, tweaking the dish east upped the % enough for them to clear.

id be interested to see what % the guys are getting when trying to view the hd channels there having issues with, id suggest some of the problems people are having isnt box related at all but dish related.

after i got back up and tweaked the dish to get the best signal i could (not just settling for a picture) ive not had any issues of that kind again.

if you clear normal channels at say a minimum of 40% then the hd chans wont show as they need more %.

im not sure of the minimum % snr for the hd chans to show but it isnt the same as your standard deff picture.

ive also said in another thread try an in line amp/booster and also to try reseat the tuner (ive read at least one case of a tuner being reseated fixing one guys issue).

but first and foremost i would get the % as high as you can dish wise and see what happens, if its still no joy then amp/boost it and see what happens.

my hd get 72% but are glitchy, but a working hd channel is 71% so im not sure what the issue is

If i Put any HD channel the signal drop to ZERO , 0%. I dont think this is dish related. Its only Hd on sly UK which is not clearing. 13E, 19e, and 1W are all clearing without any problems

Just to let you guys know. I have installed new drivers, but that didn't work or do it for me. I have read some info about an in-line amp for the box...does anyone know where to buy this?

Hi. I also had the tune failed issue. With gemini 4.5 (the only image i tried) and a diseq sqitch. Had the issue on some channels, without switching to other LNB, on one satellite, switchig channels left and right, then sometimes tune failed.

I go to the tuner settings, set to advanced. Set each satellite i have, set to diseqc 1.1, changed the order to uncommited first, set the uncomitted input number. The problem was gone. Without updating drivers, only set the diseqc in advanced.

If needed i can post screenshots.

Dont think that will solve it for me. Had an original DM800 for a while ago and no problems here.
Sold that one and got a clone and problems came along.

But post some screenshots...everything is welcome at this point.

You can try install some new drivers for the tuner, but i don't know how they doing with clones.

Already the version from 20091014 have fixed the tuner amplitude issue.

I bought an ALPS tuner with branded capacitors, ?31, and after changing all HD channels are working. % has gone up from the 40% i was getting all along to 88%

But now have a bizzare issue. Sky Sports 1 HD is unwatchable, glitching every second. signal level is 58% on this channel alone. Why is it so? how may i fix it? I have 6 images and i have tried them all but stil the same, glitchy SP1 HD.
