telnet the box and issue this command
to see your default setting
cat /proc/stb/frontend/0/tone_amplitude
it might be anything ftom 00000001 to 000000012
if your having glitching or tuner failed problems
change it to a different one
if its ok save it
mine is set at default 00000007

Mines much better set to 8 but i'm being a div ...how do you save it please mate i've pasted the line at the bottom of init.d /bootup and saved it is that correct?
I checked it after reboot and its back to 7 doh! so i've deleted the line..Help
i have a strange behaviour with my tuner (rev j tuner) also,
some hd channels play well, but some others after a few seconds
freeze and "tuner failed" pops up!
would the latest tuner (rev m i suppose) fix the problem?
any one who tried it?
