Next question is how do you download a channel list onto the DM800.
Do you need a loader if not could some kind member explain in simple terms "How To."

DM800 HD satellite

Hi,

For a DVBS2 DM 800, can i utilize the same configuration.
I do have one antenna , one LNB.

Have scanned W2@ @ 15.8*East, I got a list of services
50 in all. But No audio or video.

Where have i gone wrong in pre scan configuration.

are you using a motorised setup ?

If your using DiSEqC 1.2 you will have to set-up the dish positions manually. If your usuing USALS it should be automatic.

Here's the USALS procedure from memory (someone please jump in and correct me if I've made any mistakes)

First make sure the dish is correctly aligned on a satellite, eg THOR 1W

Press Menu -> Set Up -> Service Searching -> Tuner Configuration

Choose Tuner
ALPS BSBE2 (DVB-S2) - Press OK

Configuration Mode: Advanced

Satellite : THOR 1W

Voltage Mode: Polarization

Tone Mode: band

LNB : LNB 1

DiSEqC Mode: 1.2

Use USALS for this Sat: Yes

Longitude: Set this to the correct Longitude for your area.
To find the correct longitude settings for your area go to the following website
Worldwide map search, route finder and travel directions - powered by Multimap

In the "Find a Map" box at the top left of the page, enter your post code.
Select your country in the drop down box below it and click on the "Find" button.

This will display a map on the screen and below the map at the bottom right you
will see your Latitude information, example below for Post Code NW1 UK :-

Lat: 51:31:59N (51.53319)
Lon: 0:08:40W (-0.1445)
you may have to miss last digit
So in this example in the Dreambox menu you'd set

Longitude: 0.1445
West
latitude: 51.53319
north

You need to follow Westkill's post to configure the long/lat settings and your dish settings. Once you have done that you need to go into setup and select network and setup the parameters so that your dm800 can connect to the internet. Press the Blue so that you can download the CCcam cam to your dreambox. If you have a cline than you will need to insert that into CCcam.cfg file and ftp it to the var/etc folder on your dm800. You can download the channel settings from the image server or Google for your own and use a program called Dreamboxedit to send them to your dm800.

DM800 looping after changing skin, any easy fix? Re-Flashing would be a pain.
Also, how do i open the graphical EPG for the channels i have?
I've been at it for hours before the looping thing,
