try the latest toolbox and latest patch from Download center and latest softcam
make sure not to turn your tm on untill the loader tells you to turn it on worked fine on my tm7100 beforeAttached FilesEverything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. Use the information at your own risk. -
i just noticed that there is no loader for the 3000 series in the toolbox and the only loader going for the tm3000 series is the magic loader even on the tm site the loader for 3000 series is gone retry this one and make sure you have a lead that's right for sat reciever data transfersAttached FilesEverything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. yes that didnt work either but im using an rs232 to rs232 cable now and that doesnt work i really thought it would work because people have said on this forum that the had the same problem with the usb to rs232 and then they used the rs232 to rs232 cable and it worked straight awayComment

like i said worked fine on my tm7100 rs232 to rs232 worked straight away.
But as mikiemo can tell you there is a few different types of rs232 cables out there maybe try his method, worked for some peopleEverything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. Use the information at your own risk.Comment

i would love to try that method but its nearly imposible to open up the cable i mean i dont understand why i would have to change the pinout because i bought of ebay and on its description it actually even said that its used to transfer software for satellite receivers thats why i bought that specific one and paid 2 pounds extra
just my luck

Hi Spiros26. I had similar problems with a USB to RS232 cable i bought from Maplins - cost me 15 pounds. I was told to swap the pins which i did but still did not work. In the end i put the cable in the bin where it belonged. I was trying to patch a receiver for my cousin because his one did not have a USB . To be honest i dont even know if it was a pc or loader problem. Like you said i dont know why you have to change the pins around - the cable should do the job without having to mess about with it. Good luck.Comment

Hi thijs. Yeah i had it as COM1 COM2 COM3 COM4 COM5 and even up to COM55. I even tried the official TM loader form the TM site. Like i said if you buy a cable to do a certain job you expect it to do it without all this hassle. Even Maplins guaranteed me that it would work. I might give it another go in the next few days.
