Beta builds if enabled in the menu, and you have to manually download updates.
RD will explain it better, he's in Team Vix, so be nice to him now :-)

what exactly are you referring to by auto updating ? if you mean the image it self then no, ViX has never and will never auto updated the image thats what the green update icon is for, to let you know there is a update available so you can choose weather to update or not.

Flashes red (record icon) in the Ultimo, probably depends on the skin being used ?
Red, green, blue whatever we all know it means there is an update :-)

im not too fussed about tuner sensitivity...more worried about picture quality.

i am looking to sell my duo though. with clones bringing prices down and this duo2 ...prices for the old duos and their clones are likely to plummet further.

hopefully the ultimo comes down further too. i might sell my orig duo while i can get some decent money out of it, then look at getting an ultimo.

im not normally too fussed either but ive tested 4 other boxs between ?50 and ?110 and all 4 beat the duo on sensetivety/locking ability on dvbs2/low symbol rate channels... f***ing pethetic imo, regards mdt

i agree its pretty bad when a ?60 box seems to have a more capable tuner than a ?300+ box.

for the average punter who only wants one sat they will be happy enough with the quality.

here's a bit more on the new vu models. At the Anga Cable
VU+ has announced that dual plugable DV-S2 tuners will be available in the 3rd quarter of this year. The preparations for this tuner leaked out earlier this year, but this has now been confirmed.
                            This dual-tuner will make a twin-tuner of an UNO, a triple-tuner box of a DUO-2 and a quad-tuner box of an Ultimo

wont it be possible to put a twin tuner in every slot? in which case uno=2, duo=4, ultimo=6?

or will you only be allowed one twin tuner per box?

either way, the new duo looks fantastic - duo2 that is. seems to have receivedca real thorough update

silly question but do people need 3 tuners, maybe setup on different sats on motorised giving no time lag?
