Yesterday i updated the icc security with rs232 cable + board (20 seconds), all went well. Then i installed duo_cfe_3_0_usb with usb stick, took around 5 seconds all went fine.

then tried to upload image with usb -same thing, 'starting'

    --------------------------

mdt - which nfi image should i use from the vu plus archive??? bm750, is that for Vu+ Duo?

and do i need to use the board attached to rs232 cable similar to when i did icc security update. also does this have to be done through vu utility

also any chance that the receiver has been 'bricked'????

yes m8 THE BM750 IS FOR THE VU+DUO, you dont need the IC update board just use the rs232 lead and the vu loader programme to flash the .nfi file. regards mdt

got a problem with vu utility, cannot 'set ip'

a couple of times i got 3/4 way down then progress bar freezes. sometimes does not connect at all. all i have connected to duo is an ethernet cable, rs232 cable and power cable. tried other working ethernet cables.

why can i not set ip?

which com do i select? been selecting com1

how long does 'set ip' take? shouldnt it take a couple of sec?

have you tried flashing the nfi file with your browser?
the same way as flashing a dreambox. then you will only
            need the ethernet cable,

have you tried the last known ip? or
open the dcc and run the search and
see if that finds a ip for the box

I am afraid that you cannot flash an .nfi image to the duo by ethernet alone you have to have the RS232 connected as well, I know that mdt has flashed his clone solo just by having the RS232 port connected and nothing else although he explained it did take a few attempts to get it flash.

i have enclosed the vu guide for flashing via RS232 and ethernet, also you could find the Duo IP via your router login.

thanks mate, regarding ip, i checked router, but its coming up as 0.0.0.0 (something like that) i did connect via flashfxp when i transfers ts panel originally - ip add was 192.168.1.89.

another thing which com 1-10 should i use? - dont know what that means

will give it a try, last go. if not deciding im selling it, just tired with it.

i often get zeros on network, have you done the obvious power off at rear box modem and router and wait a min,as the obvious gets overlooked, and you checked the lan cable is working.

i would say at first guess there is no lights on lan port i opened one on sunday to set it up and it worked for a hour then no ip

when i checked it was not lighting up the led,s to say lan cable was connected to me it looks like a faulty main board as i tried psu, change and no difference

the v2 clones seem to be not as well built as the v1 boxs
i had 10 v2 boxs last week and out of 10, 4 faulty ones so to anyone thinking of buying a clone duo i would hold off until there is better reports about them
