i have flashed and tested every image going on my solo2 clone
including vix zeus 023
and they all worked perfect

best thing to do is try all the images yourself
and use the one you like
i use openpli4
why cuz i like it

as for the other bloke asking me where to buy a original solo2
ffs use google

didn't pay any customs as I think L&W devalue the package price. and I used dhl matey. very quick and trackable

I like the vix images but as a clone newbie I'm still a little hesitant as to what images work and also if they don't how to fix the box.

got up this morning to find my box frozen, did a re boot and now I get nothing. the power light is on but no front display (date / time) and no boot up screen on the telly.

got another 2 on another forum switched box on and red light showing,activity on lan also noted,one may have used different images like zeus? you pay cheap you may pay twice.

Out of curiosity what was the box frozen on as pugwas reported it had frozen on auto boguet screen.

seems peeps using vix are getting fo@oked up boxes
all the driver updates then they bring out zeus then they scrap it
i never updated the drivers
i made a backup in late feb of openpli 4
i said on other forum to many driver updates
theres something in them drivers or that zeus that is fo@oking yer boxes
my box is working and running great

Zeus was scraped as you say, simply because the very latest update with Open Embedded meant you could not use the online update option past build 023 and rather users ignore us then come crying when they no longer got updates, we decided to to end it there and force them to reflash by renaming the image. EVERY single member team of the OE-Alliance is in exactly the same boat there and as a result they are all releasing updated images.

as for this being a ViX thing, that's utter nonsense if there is a clone bomb look towards all the muppets who keep clambering for the latest Vu+ drivers, the latest of which was released for the solo2 just under a month ago.

for solo2 just over 2 weeks ago the 3rd of april

since the fix came out for a v1 solo2
to upgrade it to a v2
there have been 6 driver updates in less than a month
for solo2 6th of march to the 3rd of april

before them dates no solo2 clones where fo@oking up
