You can read and write without problem by Vvdi prog. I did it in last week.

I need to connect this to a BMW EWS4 with the 9S12G128

I see the connection points on the EWS4 on the PcB side and not the chip side

does anyone know the TMPro2 wire connections are called?
I see on TMpro2 it is orange, blue , red , white .. if someone knows what these are on the 9s12g128 connection I have the schematic on the pcb location pads.

    Vvdi shows to connect at
VSSA /ground black wire - so what color is ground on TMPro2?
RESet yellow wire - so what color is RESET on TMPro2
BKGD purple wire- so what color is BKGD on TMPro2
VCC/VDDX3 red wire - so what color is VCC/VDDX3 on TMPro2

    TIA
