Hello. My digiprog not booting anymore... I suspect the problem is CY7C1049d-10VXI memory as found in many cases. Fault has started randomly not booting but after repeatedly power on/off would finally boot... Now looking at mouser website to order replacement chips but this part no longer available... there is other parts (quite a few) but not sure witch one is compatible. Nearest by numbers is CY7C1049G-10VXI... I was comparing datasheets and looks identical, but still not 100% sure... Any recommendation, maybe other producer that has been tested and 100% compatible? Thanks in advance.

Hello, with Digiprog 3 4.94 I have a doubt with the MB class C W204 year 2013, I do everything Tacho and EZS for OBD but they come out of the KM that I had. And when I enter ASSYST it takes to read tells me to modify days, I cancel it and then KM but it does not read what it has and I do not know which ones to put. Ok so i opened up my digiprog 3 last night. I am missing the FTDI Chip Which i ordered last night. My question is what other chip is missing above this chip can anyone give me a link to the chip i need? Also weird thing is when i leave digiprog 3 on for awhile go to unplug it and plug it back in it stays at a blank screen. Ifi unplug it wait 5 minutes and plug it back in it turns on just fine. Is this just normal since its a cheap clone.

Anyone else having a hell of a time getting st01 cable clip to work with it on the circuit board? I've checked pin outs and all is where it should be. I had a pomona clip on it when it came. Well it broke so I ordered a actual real pomona clip when I went to read everything was FF. This was on a 02 silverado. I also followed the pin out for cable 47 to solder on the back of the small circuit board with same results. So I said screw it and unsoldered all the pins then unsoldered eeprom from board and put it on the small board that came with adaptors and it worked. Are the 25 pin connectors just crap or is it the wires? I'd rather leave them on the boards to save time but had to pull the eeprom both times to get it to work! Any ideas?

that's actually my experience as well. Generally in circuit programming doesn't work for me unless its via TP.
Also very important when you doing in-circuit to at least do Verify on DigiProg because sometimes it reads something different everytime and if you write chip when like this it turns to all FF's.

Have the same problem with st01. Tried 5 times and never worked for me. Also when i desoldered the eeprom and put it directly on the st01 clip. When you look closely, the distance between the pins is too wide. They do not having contact to the eeprom pins.
I solder it on the little board which was delivered with all the cables. Worked fine every time! So screw the st01.

:roflmao: I have a decent quality clip tweaked a bit to fit better, I never have a problem reading in circuit for what I do. ST47 works fine if the colors are corrected to the right pinout and again, I never a problem. Use some common sense and look at what you are trying to accomplish, and make sure the chip legs are clean.

All the info you guys need with your endless quetions has been posted numerous times here and all over the web, stop being lazy and go find it and make some good cables instead of complaining.

Check if the st01 clip contact with chip. When new need to bend little contact tip on clip. The plastic touch the chip before the pad and no conatct or bad contact.

I bought a Digipro 4.94, but keep saying "NO CONNECTION", tested the cable ST16 and it looks OK, then opened the device and looked to every solders and it looks ok to.
read a lote of this thread but did find the answer.
tested in a golf iv and give pop up ERROR "NO CONNECTION"
tested in a 2006 A3 and just says in right windows "NO CONNECTION"

1) Can the digiprog read/clear dtc fault codes via obd (or at all)? Or is it odometer modification all it does?


2) Can digiprog dump the entire contents of supported eeprom chips (for loading into a PC and modify it with other tools) and then write everything back into the eeprom?

Yes that is the right chip, use Avalanche to program the mileage. Then Hummer H2 -2007 for the hours. It's an S95P02.

Search the forums for Silverado and you will find tons of info.

No problem mate, you can do this car by dashplug it Will block synch between ezs and dash.

Old milleage Will be traceable But not your problem.

What he said, I'm the dumbest person on here you can ask anyone but if you can't figure how to use tachosoft off the bat just get into another bizz, you gotta have some kinda computer know how and somekinda math and common sense, I had a little bit of PC skills when I started and can do 80% cars by myself already and am only in the bizz really for less than a year, sure I ask questions, sure I bust peoples chops, sure I threaten people "Xmod" lol but I had enough know how to get around and learn and enough stubborness to read, reasearch etc. If you dont have any of those things just give it up before you fry a cluster or even worse your brain. For the cars that in the manual says that digiprog doesn't need an external power supply, because it gets its power from diag port. Can I connect it to an external power supply anyway, just to make sure it wont shutdown in mid operation, or can that damage digiprog or even the car?

I did a 458 with digiprog. Why not, the mileage in ferrari cluster is a very easy system.
The tools only needs to read the eeprom, we know digiprog can do this witg other cars without problem, so if it reads the correct mileage then i dont see much risk.
(And it is a clone, but the software is same as original tool)

But the mileage is also in the ecu of ferrari.

Thank You!Solder in the FTDI, solder in the 93c46 (no programming necessary) get eetool so you can connect to your pc, then make sure your update is for your serial number or you will have a door stop.

Hello, I have the same problem with my FTDI chip, when I search in internet I see the new driver 2.12 brick FTDI chip, so I buy a small evaluation board with the same FTDI chip, I try it, work perfectly, after I swap the 2 FTDI chip now works perfectly.
You have to download FTprog (I don't remember the name excat) and your vid: 0403 and pid: 6001
If it's not like this your chip is bricked, so you need to change it.

latest update is 5.03, I think you just have 4.94 :P

for pilot:
open cluster, look for eeprom 93c56 or 93c66 or 93c76 on circuit board. connect cable 01.
i dont think there is 'pilot' in the menu of honda. choose any other model (for example honda jazz) if it shows the same chip number. if it reads mileage correct then you can proceed and enter new mileage.

for f150 check your manual, you need to solder some wires on circuit board

You could try other ford models from the menu, if it reads correct, then I would try to adjust it, otherwise, dont risk it. Or either read the eeprom manually or find a dump from the same model, check the algorithm, and see if it matches any other algorithm that digiprog supports.

It was missing my ftdi of digiprog. And it was missing the 93c46, and it was missing the 6.000MHZ quuartz, and it was missing the 2 pieces 100nF condensator. - - But I bought and I sold it. But it still does not work. - I haven not connetct with USB.

And because i have too this update files,- then i would like know, good working, if I will write teh update files into 28f800 flash circuits!
But i think nobody make this directly into 28f800.

Don't try 2011+ Civics with it if you don't have any other equipment to fix the damage. I'm starting to think I've had enough of Digiprog , maybe it's time to get rid of it. Any takers? I'll even throw in the FTDI chip that I bought but never installed.

if you use it correctly you won't damage anything. (except polo 2012 and sometimes a4 2005). with civic, just make backup of eeprom first

I wouldn't risk doing anything without saving ori file first, that's a long time experience :) Actually I was lucky to save it with another programmer beforehand, DP was connected just to try. It has 2 options for Civic, c56 and c76, c76 is their older algo not working correctly on newer cars. So after seeig wrong reading I cancelled and guess what? The damn thing wrote something to the chip, I connected it to the car right after that and it didn't work properly.

sadly no i didn't i try first with the crv that said 56/66 and didnt work then i try accird and did work the one that said 66 change it no issues after try for the 3rd time did read the miles but once i plug it back into the car only shows the temp the trip a and a and b and service but no mileage
