I heard exact same opinion but reverse style :D I mean I know a user who told me that ignition slot programming does not work and we need to use lonsdor slot. But it seems like it's 50/50 and we need to try both if 1st choice did not work. But also sometimes both ways might not work... That's Lonsdor, never know what will work although it's great device.

in every fiat(alfa lancia..etc) BSI has two list. Programmed and working keys and previously programmed but banned keys. The banned key list is normally final. You easly able delete keys from the banned list but you have to correct the counter and the checksum. W/o this not working and this part is really tricky. As far as i know no commercial tool support this. Just Brain.exe :D

Fiat 500 2007 read pin code wrong as '00000'. Read PIN code by MVP and went to precoding process in Lonsdor. It went through with success aswell as key learning after but car does not start and remote doesnt work (PCF is being locked). Took BSI out, read eeprom, precoded in Miraclone and then program key by Lonsdor OK.

So seems like lonsdor wrote wrong precoding. But it's strange that during programming it say programming OK and the key count increased to from 1 to 3 although I only tried to add 2nd key. Something was wrong.

Yes that's right, I just tried precoding option later to see what commands will show on screen and what will happen and then share results, what I do now. After it read pin as '00000' at first of course I did not expect it to work.

I have friends who did 1x Ford Ka 2016 and 1x Fiat 500 2017 on newer BCM with NEC and all was working. I'm wondering if Lonsdor have prolems with older BSI or something after update is messed up.

Remote is separate and can be programmed by VCDS or MVP Pro

With Lonsdor sometimes it's just hit and miss on same system. Example I failed on Fiat 500 93c86 but succeed on Grande Punto on same BSI type.

Sometimes strange things happens, I think after updates. Things working before might not work further. I have a friend who tried read pin code from VW Transporter T5 from ECU and it read fine but 2 days later failed to read on same car :chuncky:

We can't rely on this tool as our main programming tool but for this price I think everybody is not surprised that it does not work every time.

Yes it will program the key no problem, it is 4D-63 and a flip key is possible too, see the picture.

You never know if this will work for sure on Ford 4D-63 40bit system. I failed yesterday on Fiesta 2005. Lonsdor work great on new Ford models, but older ones below 2011 it's hit and miss

Astra H remote is being programmed automatically with transponder. This menu for programming remote I don't know what is this because it's nosense. You should be fine with reading pin code, if not under Opel then try under Chevy as you found. But now Opel menu is upgraded so shouldnt be a problem.

U can read how disappointed I was when I bought IT. But some weeks later came an update, and IT turned 180 degrees. Began to make ne money, and its Kia module is much more better, Than AVDI's... IT was a good idea to invest in this toy.

it's never let me down as yet apart from a Hyundai pin which I got using original key and vvdi tool, I have other tools as you can't rely just one, for example I use ACDP for BMW,
