you will have to pay 600 each year,lets say it a different way,by paying 600 every year you do not own anything permantly,they just allow to use what is in red coverage for a year,if year pass and want to use fuctions in red coverage you must pay another 600,only blak coverage is for lifetime,for red 600 for every year and by the way no one can promise you that it will be 600 for next year,they may decide 1000...remember that when they start they said FREE UPDATES LIFETIME...

Newman you got it right, the only company asking for 600 are the resellers and not the manufactures of the lonsdor tool and software maker, we just want the lonsdor company to make it clearer to the people in user’s agreements.
Look VVDI spokesmen is doing a great job, he is giving technical supports and giving all the information to every buyers in the world, we do not have technical support for lonsdor company and the resellers are taking the advantage asking for money and lonsdor doesn’t know any thing about and it looks like the resellers are breaking the rules.
We should write to the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in UK to investigate the company of misleading customers knowingly to pay 600 from resellers amd some resellers are asking for over 630 yearly, we should also ask UK Standards Agency to investigate as soon as possible, we just want to hear from lonsdor company this is legal and give us users agreement. :mad-new:

I think the value of one machine is to help people make money, if Lonsdor K518ISE can help you make profit, it's good tool.
There are many car models are free update lifetime (about 38pages update in October, 2018 and only 10 pages of models charge if you need).

Officially yes but there were some updates which they don't mention on website. That's probably like that because those further updates are just fixing bugs / not working menus. October 30 was the day when they introduced Fiat functions I believe, although those functions were available couple months back then but many people didn't even know about it :D A little bit strange policy

Had an issue with a 2014 V40 Volvo the other day.
It would program the new keys but would some times give error on cluster "Key error, restart car" and the car would either die or not rev above 1000rpm.

Tried 2 different keys, both same problem.

Never had this issue before, not sure if they have updated something or it was just a flaky car.
Original key worked ok.

With the new model k518s you don't have the paid functions available, not even free trial (for 3 or 6 months),
But you can purchase the paid function FOREVER for 3000euros, whereas in k518ise you can't purchase these paid functions forever, the only way to use them (with k518ise) is by paying 600 euros every year, plus in k518ise you get 3 months free trial for every paid function update, in k518s you don't get free 3 months trial for updates that are paid function.

Today I had a "nice" chit-chat with the Lonsdor peoples, and they said that the "free for lifetime" part was meant only for the basic content, what was installed in factory. That means nearly nothing, because it was unusable until the 2018 january update.
Couldn't get a writen statement what Will happen with the 518, just their lame speech abut the 600 bucks and áll that known trash.
They couldn't Tell me the price for the New Tool (KD X2 like toy), and they won't sell i:;t. Didn't got answer for my question "how can I be sure that you won't charge me for updates later for this tool too"...
Nice looking bullsh!t, but the concurent products are better at the moment.

Lonsdor yesterday failed to program mini r56 2012 cas3++ istap version. After downgrade it with the properly menu. Went to program key and lonsdor keep saying cas need update. Fail fail fail. And cas now is faulty and car doesn't start. Tried to update cas with original BMW istap and at the end gave error. This never happened to me before. Last time I had this problem just updated cas with istap and cas became alive. How to fix now? I know how to fix it, problem is LONSDOR IS NOT DOING UPDATES PROPERLY.

renault primastar 2004 - program key all went OK, but after finished the key would not start van, or work with central locking.

2x keys tested, both from AUTOWAVE company. keys were LOCKED after programming.

programmed under renault trafic first, then renault master second key used.


maybe it was faulty keys, i don't know, autowave keys are usually good. anyway i am sending them back and using another source.

Take your transponder programmer and enter the isk. Put the locked key to the programmer, it depends the prommer there is a different ways but you can always unlock renault hitag2 keys or cards(7946, 7947) if you have the ISK.

Hi. I done this vivaro last week already 1 key. Worked fine.

I think since I done update the lonsdor don't work on any renault or vivaro etc now. Keys are fine as same supplier worked last week.

Sorry i buy the keys ready to code, i used MVP pro and it worked perfect.

My lonsdor has had an update on 10-04-19 and it has made VIVARO, PRIMASTAR, TRAFIC etc system not work. It locks the key but does not start the car, or remote not work either. MVP pro finished in few minutes fine. Waiting for lonsdor to update again and hope it fixes this system. It is a PAID function, so maybe my free trial run out and it not finishing program sequence, not sure

TMpro2 is the only tool which can precode remote for those mentioned.

The amount of subscriptions is more then AVDI and I will never pay that amount of money for most modules never worked, I have decided to buy full package of truecode with no yearly payments for life and I have got vvdi2 for BMW and VW when lonsdor is no good for them, I want some one to tell me why we should all pay for some thing not 100% reliable on expensive cars?

All of my renault systems are broken on mine since update,

tried a megane 3 button card today which ive done 100's,, it says successful but not programmed afterwards, remote or start

finished job with renault ecu tool.....


i found this problem the other day with nissan primastar, day after vauxhall vivaro.......

hope they update it to fix these soon,, they will probably turn PAID lol

dont about cheape tools around FVDI

Are you working for lonsdor to say that, go back and check all the modules which were working when first introduced most have stopped working since last few updates, can you guarantee we will not lose more modules after next update….

You are talking about the tool lonsdor not 100% working it may be working on some cars but overall if you like it or not most modules are not working, you want to know the company who don’t charge subscriptions those company named key programmers Truecode tools the updates are free and no subscriptions and the good news is every thing works 100% you show me any one person ever complained about them, and VVDI2 they never charge subscriptions and 100% works no complaint from customers if I ever need to pay I will definitely willing to pay them and not for tools which are not working during the last 5 years I bought lots of lonsdor tools and I spend thousands but this is the end for me, end of the day its your choose I wish them all the luck in future. http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/hmmmm.gif

yes i know about truecode is good but again lot of money and dont doit new renault
vvdi2 is good but it put FEM and need pay for this(i pay 600usd),to same copy id48 need pay extra
but i speek about next tools to same AVDI big money but if put new model again need pay
to same smok or carprog all time for new models need pay.MVP charge tokens and you dont know doit or no.
no tools cheaper and for free.

There is no perfect tool. That's a fact. On the EU market you have this choices:

Obdstar = ripoff
Avdi = something went wrong in the last year, i guess is a management problem, currently is almost ripoff (bcose the customer care, ams, bugs, online stuff)
Zedfull = tokens, fees...etc expensive but the inner side of ripoff and at least working
Lonsdor = 600 bucks is acceptable but the policy changing and the threats are not. For me same like Zedfull. Yet.
TDB = expensive and unsustainable on long term without tokens or yearly fee. And bugs... chit-chat w/o real support
Autel = hard to choose bcose the recent HW changing for me seems like obdstar.
Truecode = great tool but with very-very slow developing..It's a one man show...

It's like an election, no perfect choice only bad and worse. You have to choose the less sh.it tool and company. :)

In the software developing business not exist the "perfect release" just revision control :)
In normal case there is a testing team working on the project too. If not..well you get a crap. Our case is special bcose impossible to find and test every kind of car with every kind of sw version. The majority of the teams are not testing at all or just a bare minium. Ohh if we lucky perhaps with some reliable buddies. Thats the main reason why we working with crap tools and the infuriating part is they don't care about the user feedbacks like AVDI or here my favorite buddy SMP7 from obdstar :D
But it would be easy just a simple logging system and some rewards like points or tokens to users who helping them improving their program. It's a well know and working system they just don't care. The real support, customer care is non-exist in this business.

I know very well it's a hard job but i'd happy to pay at least 1000€/year subscription fee to any company for a wide range support list like mvp/zedfull...etc and a prompt customer service.

The only thing put me off with this tool was when it came out first time most modules were 80% working like yaris all keys lost was working after update it stopped working, insignia module not working, Renault cards programming not working and I stopped using because I was spending more time when the tool was not working, they kept updating new cars when old cars modules stopped working and now they want 600 very good idea they will get rich very quick!!!!http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/roflmao.gif

Lonsdor yesterday failed to program mini r56 2012 cas3++ istap version. After downgrade it with the properly menu. Went to program key and lonsdor keep saying cas need update. Fail fail fail. And cas now is faulty and car doesn't start. Tried to update cas with original BMW istap and at the end gave error. This never happened to me before. Last time I had this problem just updated cas with istap and cas became alive. How to fix now? I know how to fix it, problem is LONSDOR IS NOT DOING UPDATES PROPERLY.

You should SOlve the problem with CGDI BMW. I have test programming cas3 cas3+ dme and no problem at all.

SO FIRST Renault master stopped working, months ago,, new blue function PAID appeared just called "MASTER." and it works...

MEGANE 2002-2008 3 button card function works fine since i bought it, now it stopped after update...and appears a blue paid function "MEGANE CC -2008"


eventually all functions will stop working and will be replaced by paid functions,, so i am not updating my device anymore now and will keep it to use as ford/bmw cas3/peugeot etc basic tool


Big shame, i would of purchased for 600$ to use paid functions if they wasn't scamming so many of the basic functions from me.
