How to JTAG a DM500

LPT -- signal -- dream
2 -- HALT -- R600
3 -- TMS -- R601
4 -- TCK -- R602
5 -- TDI -- R603
6 -- TDO -- ?????
18-25 – Gnd -- Gnd

Maybe the pin 1 (TDO) of the jtag connector in the dreambox is wired to the other side.

I have dm500s clone i tried load new bootloader to it
with jtag i build on MM74HC245N
WITH jtagdm500 software everything went ok
tuner Alps load up to 100%


But now just green light on and i can`t get connection with DreamUP to load image

Help any body had anything before

i have a blackbox dm500 and it?s dead.
tryed windowstool but if i get a connect after some trys the tool crashes. if i use dos tool it stops at downloading 0%
can someone help me?

Windows Tool doesent work for me. Everytime i get a connect the tool crashes after a click on the write button.

the download step takes a long time and i think the bootimg was not written correctly (Programming failed)
the green led is off after flashing (flash turn off turn on). but if i use the info option i dont get the clone message.
the info option says the flash is ok but still no green light.
can somebody help me?

It's a special cable that allows a PC to try and recover a Dreambok with a nuked bootloader.

I fixed my DM500s today. When I use Dos version, it was staying on Erase flash done. So I use Windows version.

1. Unplug the box

2. Keep pressing on Connect and plug and unplug your box until Write comes up.

Just don’t press connect after box was connected.

nearly crazy

I will go crazy, after a lot of attempts with the Windows version, I ones had it run under the Dos version, all the way
to 100% complete, but no light or contact, when I try to load a img with serial cable, so I start to try to flash it again
if it still was something wrong, as my dos skills is not that good. Do I have to unsolder the J-tag before it works, or is it
possible to keep it until I know that the box is OK. Did I use
wrong bootloader? I did not have any choises, the default
was used, I think. Any help, or advices is welcome, thanks
