How to JTAG a DM500

Appreciate if someone could share boot image for DM500C NuTune tuner.
I managed to construct JTAG and make it work, but the bootimage is not correct for my set with NuTune tuner.

Good Day!

I have been trying to get my Dreambox back in order but I was told that it was due to the image I flashed it with that caused the problem.

Mine is original, I was advise to use jtag but the one I downloaded which is the Win.exe is not working on my system. I have tried to communicate with the dreambox and all the light inside (yellow) are on, but yet it is saying Error: could not determine parallel interface on PC.

Please what do I do now?

trying to solder wires to jtag pins but over heated 3 pins and they disappeared, a hole is going through board, any way to refind track of pin.

Hi, i?m a bit puzzled, i have tried to Jtag my dm500 without any success. When i press the connect button, in the jtag_windows program and simultaneous turn the power on to the box, it says ERROR, i've tried a couple of 100 times i think, maybe i have forgotten something, but what? Offcourse the jtag kable is connected to the lpt-port and correctly solderd in the box. Could someone please give me some help?

I have 2 DM500C clones that appear to be dead. Before I bin these suckers I want to try and JTAG flash them.

I tried to jtag it with the dos program, but it says Flash info: INTEL Unknown, and stops at Erase Flash....done

Hi All,
I have probelm with 500c to make Jtag for that,
1. Can someone write a ling to download the files that I need after connect the PC to dreambox as described here.
2. If to make jtag for 500c and 500s are the same?

I have tried the windows jtag program, switching the box on just after Connect in the program, also with various slight delays, but just keep getting errors.

I have notice youtube videos which all seem to use the Jtag DM5090 vniekjd2 and these seem to do the job quickly without any problems. Is this just a case of good video editing or is it a better method of resurrecting a DM500.

Any advice will be a great help.

so i have a dm500 clone. imade a jtag with dos jtagdm500.exe
it works great, but after that no more green led and no communication with dreamup ????
any solution please
(may be my rs323 connector on the dreambox is out... it never run since i buy it)

Hi,

Anyone know how to get the solderless JTAG adapter? it uses the RS232 connector as a holder and Pogo Pins on the JTAG points. I cannot find any site that sells it now. Or anyone has a used on for sale?
