hi. i have problem to flash boot to dm500s JS28F640 with philips tuner. this DM is new and i will chang MAC . i write MAC in bat file and start boot uploud and all is fine. problem is that after uploud tuner cant find satelites and have other problems. maybe this philips sw is for cable tuner ? i have flashed ALPH and all is fine . how to flash this philips tuner ?
@fricker
Hi
If you have the option to do a Satellite scan you have the correct bootloader, but you mention you flashed Alps, this is wrong.
If your dm has philips tuner jtag command line like this.
"jtagdm500 -m dm500 -d philips" without quotes.

Hi
Very interesting post BTW, I just have one, well two really questions for a dm500c clone bootloader, after generating the file with the generator I presume you have to rename the file to 'blimp' then put it in the correct folder with jtag_windows.exe? Also does it matter about entering the correct Mac address into the generator or just use your 'something like' posted figures?
Regards jbvid
micromouse i have tried the mac generator (cable) for my dm500c but i cannot load it up via jtag windows ,, when i write it says "could not open flash.bin"
i take it all i should be doing is renaming the mac generated file to blimg and it should load??? is that correct???
but error always comes up "could not load flash.bin" after renaming blimg and writing
but the blimg that comes standard in windows package (the wrong one default alps i think ) will write to the box with no error
what could be wrong
thanks
mine is nxp tuner
i still have no response from box apart from green power light coming on
is that boot file file suitable for 500c nxp tuner?
i dont get no response in hyperterminal neither when powering up
is it lookin like a bin job on this 1
is the bootloader totally screwed?
@sparktikus
Hi
Did you disconnect you jtag wires and restart the PC before trying dreamup?
I couldn't get dreamup to connect after loading the 500c bootloader in until I disconnected my jtag setup and a PC reboot.
Worth a try.
