My recording does not freeze but the time will so it will record indefinitely.

Did you try streaming via openwebif for certain duration before? Mine one will freeze after streaming like 40 min. At first suspect is hardware issue but after exchanged the box the issue remain.

            Hi,
Having similar timer recording issues on DM800HD PVR running SG Newnigma2 v3.3.2. USB HDD would freeze sometimes at 20+ or 40-50m. Tried reformatting etc. Also Media player did not recognized recorded files. Can only play from File Explorer.

Just reflashed image, and also using formatted NTFS. Allow automount. Let's see if this works for tonight timer record.

Could someone advise me how to check processor rev?

            Thanks.

The power from the dm800hd usb may not be enough to drive the hdd and for playback, press the pvr button. As for processor rev, only dm800se is applicable.

It is not the image faulty as tried with various images but still recording freezes. Most likely box with fp3 would have problems doing recording.

I use 2.5 internal sata HDD,.very stable no problem. The recorded file is under Ts format. Use vlc player to view On your pc.

i am actually on front processor v1 and having the problem.
The dreambox timer is not the problem because i never see any delay between actual time. they are always the same

Still having problem with the freezing. Thought the problem was solved when i flashed the image from a bro here, but the problem still exist! Recording will hang randomly. Internal SATA HDD.
