New Images for SG use only

you are definitely 1 in a million shi-fu YPVS125. will look forward to testing all these images out on my clone DM800se. This will give me sleepless but wonderful nights to the chargin of my family members :-)

Well i have tested the OpenPLi and it also has the ability to display the Chinese characters in the EPG. The others do not. For this reason i find OpenPLi the best of the lot. So besides CNigma and Jade, this particular OpenPLi version also does Chinese i.e. we need to have the menu "Auto Languages" in the Menu--> Setup --> System ---> Auto Language option. With this "Auto Language" option, about 4 lines from the bottom, it has a choice of EPG Language to choose, Chinese or Englisg or default. This OpenPLi image comes with the Chinese option chosen so it works straight out of the box when installed. Furthermore, when i choose to update all the various system software, it upgrade properly without killing the box

However before the test, i tot that the Newnigma2.to 3.3.2 would be the best because of the customised to SG from the latest set of 3.3.x images but there was an issue when i want to upgrade the Sysztem Software (i..e DVB driversetc...) Once i did it it killed the box.

I also tested out the Blue Panel Gemini Project 3 (GP3) image last week (not sure what is the proper name) i find thet the Blue Panel is the best as i can choose the various kernels to load i.e. NTFS (in read write mode). Updating the anything drivers, plugins, extensions is also very stable. No dependency issues. also has better hardware information.

Before i forget, thanks for including the TSMedia 1.4 in all the images, it is a godsend as i need not install nstreamplayer 0.4 as it is included in TSMedia

Anyway i have this issue with all these images, that the MediaPlayer Plugin is not able to play MKV files properly. there is no sound actually and that is a bumber. also witjh a big file like les Miserables (18.8GB full 1980 x 1040 HD) it cannot even play the file and always freeze. smaller MKV files like 3GB is no problem. but the TS files made with the PVR recording is able to play. Do you have any remedies for me on the matter?
Also another question to shifu YPVS125 is how in the world did you get these 5 images to work for SG? Just curious , would like to learn

So you have tested the SG version of the OpenPli. In a page back, I mentioned that I have also tested this version of the OpenPli. And that I have issue with the audio being too soft. Do you also have the same issue?

Here is the list of dm800se preconfigured image for SG use with updated channels and picons. Change softcam to mgcamd 1.31 since many having problems with mgcamd 1.38. Just ftp yr keys & scce files and restart softcam and u are ready to go. Tspanel 6.9, Tsmedia 1.4, sgsh online update bouquet and mytube plugin included in the image.

hi guys im new here... dunno wat i press to my 500c and suddenly cant use! but after reading thru alot of posts and spending many hours fiddling with it i managed to reflash my box and its alive again!!! thanks everyone!! but now i have a problem... i believe i am missing the keys hence im unable to watch all the channels.

can anybody advise where can i get them? thanks so much in advance!

Well some channels are soft but not all of them though.

About the ability to play MKV files, do you have the same issue with me that there is no audio? TS files are OK though. how do we play MKV files in the movie Player? Do we need to install a particular plugin?

Hi Sporky, about the issue of the RESERVE unused channels, i solve the problem by choosing the ALL (red button) when am in bouquet mode. it then shows all the active channels with the reserve list in it

When having problem you can try:

1. Clear your browser cache (cookies, etc).
2. Try a different browser (eg Firefox, Chrome)

hi all, im new to this forum. i have a 500c that is no longer responding after switching it off. it just shows a black screen with green light and nothing else. i intend to flash it using dreamup but i have no idea what kind of images i will need. the images posted here are for the 800 model so my questions will be
1. can i use the images for dm800 for my dm500-c?
2. after i reflash the box can i watch those encrypted channels as before?
3. i've read about some keys and scce and i have no idea what is that. is it necessary to know what is that to get my box working again?

i hope some kind souls out there can offer me some advice. thanks!

Hi All, I have a DM500 C box, after flashing the image it works and manage to watch the SH channels. However, it hangs after sometime, the picture freezes. I suspect is the keys and scce. Can some one advise how to resolve this issue or send me the complete image files without having to ftp the keys and scce. Thanks !
