Missing Channels on Mini White FY HD 800 C & FY HD 800 C II

hey guys another newbie here.

I just purchase mini white box and so far so good, especially the HD channels
Just full scan again the box if there are missing channels. Should solve it.

But I got one problem. the remote control don't works if i sit on my sofa (about 4 feet away from mini white box) and I have to literally standing directly in front of the box like a parade soldier on 'sedia' to change the channel). Anyone know what caused the problem? I put in new energizer batteries inside the remote control.

So with the XML file with all the frequency, is there a way I can manually add the missing channels?

I just got the box and still figuring out how to use it.

I do not think you are able to ftp to FYHD box or link it up with computer to do any edit.

This xml file is meant for DM800 or dreambox product.

any new firmwares out for the FY HD800???

The reason I am askign is that my white mini sometimes loses channels or picture breaks up occasional. A nuisance that if can e rectified with a new firmware will be nice.

Another question is that I noticed that SH has new channels listed. But my box cant seem to pick up the new channels with a rescan. Do I need to update anything???

I have an FYHD 800-C and recently did a rescan to get more channels (MTV HD, Syfy HD, Cinemaworld, etc) but when it was done, the channel numbers were scrambled up with channels all over the place. Anyone knows how to fix this?

There is no way you can move, reassign channel or edit the list for this box. Unless you restore from the last firmware, all channel will be back according to its channel number but you will still be missing some latest channel.

If you want the latest additional, you got to live to the messy channel (existin as well as new channel on same freq.).

If you wan a proper line-up, you will have to wait for the next release of firmware. It all depend if the chinese engineer is free to do anot as they are the only one who have access to the box.

Lastly, good news to all who have this fy800hd or mini. God bless you when the system change. Understand tat this box is card-share capable but require the ethernet port to work therefore those fy800hd & mini out there now is with a dummy ethernet port which is not workable. When the time come, you will be ask to buy new box as they will say tat the ethernet port on your existing box is no longer working. So this is how the chinese do biz using such tactic.

Just a quick update from my box.
Did scanning of channel sends out any flag from the "green guy"? Due to my own tweaking on the box, I redo a scanning of channel quite often. Today a green guy knocking on my door and said found signal leak from my house, but no one at home so he left a letter that stated an inspection is a must before my digital voice is re-activate again.
How you guys "Siam" this?
The "hulk" is coming back on Monday to knock on my door again.

Someone must have call to complain to SH that signal no good etc, that why they come your house.
Otherwise, which idiot so free to check signal leak

1 Brother told me 2 dark skin men take a Samsung notepad asked him to open door to chk for illegal box. They say there is a signal LEAk? This Brother hv legit sub from SH, so he asked the 2 men for the usual 'work order' which the 2 cant produce. They left saying they come back later but never appear for 1 mth+ liao.
Pls b careful dont let any stranger into yr hse. All investigation must come with a service form which u can call their online 24/7 to varify.
Also a notepad or ipad CANNOT detect signal leak.
So dont get con.

To all those using the box;
No matter what happens, just remember you have the right not to let SH people or their contractors into your house. If they need to go into your residence, ask them report police and produce a search warrant. Without a search warrant, nobody has the right to enter your house, even the police.

Nevertheless, always be discreet when using the box. Do not be complacent and stay vigilant.

I've the same problem with some channels having signal problems. Going to send it back, hopefully the supplier have DM800 to exchange.

Should have come in here to dig around first before getting the FYHD.

Haha.... I told u so. Nothing wrong with box, image, firmware or software. The processor is jus too slow to decrypt ' some of the chn some of the time'. U may get the missing chn when theres a bluemoon. U need not hv to do anything, just wait till fengshui is ok with u. ;-)
It happens only to HD chns.

Exchanging a new box will not resolve the problem. Just live with it.
BTW you have just paid a air ticket for your box to travel to and fro for free to china........

Sending the box back and forth from China is not a problem for me as I've friends who flies frequently back and forth China & SG. However, since there's no point to send it back, guess I'll have to live with it.

I can watch my favorite discovery and natgeo HD channels without problem but I'm having problem with some of the Taiwanese variety shows which my mom wants.

Guess I'll have to buy a DM800C locally since there were no problem with it.

Going to put the lousy FYHD somewhere in another room....
