Anyone obtained the serial prog to upload the firmware image to the FY boxes?
I got 1-2 FY boxes with corrupted firmware, and unable to boot properly (aka bricked).
Due to the likeness of the firmware name convention of the DM802SE and FYHD800C firmwares, the users took the 802SE firmware and uploaded to the FY box, and now stucked in the boot sequence.


Any help? PM me the file link or share it publicly?

PS: DM802SE menu may look same, but hardware abit different, ie. CPU processor speed, IR receiver different (unique remote controller).

The reverse happened to me, i updated FYHD firmware on my 800SE box and after reboot i cannot control the box with the remote.
Looking for a FYHD remote to try....

You are the master or can say the god... Really kowtao to you.

Not sure how you can flash a FYHD onto a 800se. It will not even pass the crc calculation when u flash via dreamup or web interface.

The Dm800HD SE is not the Dreambox one...its the same as the HD501-C, DM802SE...
When i bought it i thought it was the real one..

I believe many oldbirds had post about the obsolete SW and FW and hardware of FY boxes and adviced caution in buying these box, but bros take it as anti-FY even obscene PMs to me boosting how good and sharp pictures they hv. Now is the period of truth about their SW and u all are juz doing Patches, not renewing SW or FW. There will b more when N3 arrvd. about 70% boxes can b used as paper weight.
You can buy them if u r C+ ok and know disassem & assem language.

Yes, Rj45 not connected.

Newer boxes look for scan and auto arrange chn,
auto transponder detection,
auto sym,qam store,
digital tuner
etc cant remember, lack of sleep

eg. ifox S10, iplayer, Q5, or search UK site for new version of boxes. Oso Dalian boxes, they r similar to Sg.
Rj45 working, must test, some got lit but still not connected.

Sadly nope.

You can try to go to find dragon head post fy.ap which was dated back long ago. Try to see if it works.

If it doesn't. Too bad.. You should have read that the firmware U use is for version IV and later.

Hi guys im new here and read many post regarding FY Hd however I still unable to receive epl chanels. I waited for 30secs to 5min still no signal. I believe I got all other chanels except EPL.*

My model as follows:

Please advice. Do I need to update the software and firmware? I cant seems to update the firmware using FY.ap and .Bin help pls.When I select .bin to ref lash my firmware, the screen flickers and back to channel 101. Unable to proceed to updating screen.

It does not detect FY.AP as the update file but does detect .BIN. However it flickers and back to preview channel. It does not goes to updating screen. Anyone have to latest firmware for this model care to share pls.
