Any idea why no component output for new FY800HD C-IV? Earlier models have it.

All the white colors and older models cannot

I have a FYHD800 and it was working for a week until all th SH channels are scrambled.

Anyone can say their box can support N3 but to what I know even before N3 start, dreambox are the only one that are N3 compatible (Subjected to descramble solution available).

Those OEM box (i.e: fyhd), it will be useless if they does not come with software upgrade only release by factory & only if they have the solution.

Lastly, dun be cheated by "N3 Supported". This does not mean that you will be able to watch locked channel when N1 signal is switch off. What it mean is when card-share is available (if any), you can pay them monthly subscription in order to view all locked channel. I mean IF card-share is available & no promise there will be any so as good as nothing.

For those having those FYHD, god bless you. I will never buy such box if I'm you.

I like to share my 2 cents worth too.

If ppl are looking to get the maximum $$ out of a black box to be able to do many much more then just tuning in to SH channels then yes I agree the DreamBox's linux open platform can certainly do much more.

But for ppl who just want to be able to tune in to SH channels and do not want to scratch their heads over how to mod images, burn and backup bouquets and just want a simple plug & play receiver, the FYHD is a good option.

Doing a simple browse through this forum and you will be able to spot the fair share of problems DreamBox users encounter too.

BTW for those FYHD users who complain they are missing ESPN sports channels, I'm not surprised they can't find them at all. Because SH has RENAMED ESPN sports channels to FOX SPORTS channels!! As with all systems, half of the problems are always due to user misuse

My point is no single system is perfect! But there is a suitable system for every different group of users.

There r 2 ic need change. method was posted on page 1. Their Box hv this problem from 1st Gen to the 7th Gen, never solved. But recently, I saw their 8th gen seems to hv a better Power unit. Hope dont hv this problem.

Master Jatrophaseed, my FYHD800C box with green lite but cannot boot up. So I changed the 2 MP1482ES you recommended. Now the boot wordings appear with green lites but the channel selection did not come up. Should I changed the 5 cap you marked? My powerboard looks slightly different from the one you

No, yr box is working. U refresh with "DragonHead" USB firmware which he posted some many mths ago. Then box shud b able o view. Remember, do a scan with only, 394, 458,450 only, he rest of chns r already in liao.
Pls search DragonHead's firmware yrself.

I helped one elderly guy fixed his hanging FYHD800C.
I just replaced all the electrolytic capacitors, and the unit revived.
Spend about under $20, bought spare capacitor (in bulk - savings).

Maybe you could try this solution.

PS: Electrolytic Capacitor got polarity.. please don't insert pin blindly.
