Despite all the hype I have to say that this Hypercam fix is a load of ***** There are loads of problems as the Cam will not clear the channels on a reboot or if the box is powered down. it is a pity as I have an ITGate and it clears all the channels with no problem. I have wasted a complete 2 days Fu***** around with this fix only to find that it only Half works.....You live and learn !!!!!

Dont think this version of hypercam was ever gonna be fixed for the db,seems it was intentionally broken and released?correct me if i'm wrong.

Il correct you, false,,, hypercam1.06 is a ppc version, ( i.e we dont have itgate only protection in it ) so it wasnt 'broken'.
If people could learn to easily add the hypercam to cam menus by editing scripts there would be no problem.

Stick to your iTgate far better box with support!
but in all fairness this should work fine on dreambox too, its just some people dont know how to make the cam script connect to hypercam,

what extension should be on the main hypercam106 file. i cant get it to ftp across, it only does about 139kb

Jesus, talk about ungrateful. If you even bothered to read a little you would see the solution for the reboot problem.

So you spent 2 days, the programmers have probably been hard at it for weeks/months and this is the thanks they get. The guys who did this might not even be in Ireland so might not have been even able to test it. If you have constructive criticism like glitches & how to fix them or what is happening, then do so, some are already solved.

From what I understand hypercam was developed by satkings & their programmers for use on the itgate and abcom boxes, it underwent a lot of testing on those boxes, it is great that somebody managed to get it to run on the dreambox.

I have an itgate and it is running smoothly, I have a dreambox at the moment and yeah there are a few minor glitches, it still pisses on a real subbed box though, and my mates were delighted to have it going again.

Hi. Would it be possible for someone to put up a sticky with step by step instuctions on how to apply the fix for the dreanmboxes in Ireland. I have been scrolling through the forum and the replies, and cant find a clear approach. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. I am going to have a bash at it after work.

Lighten up on the attack lads. I was just saying that at that stage last night I was pi**** off.Guess what though ?? Went to bed and had a good kip, started afresh this morning and with a LOT of help from this forum , I got the 500 working perfectly.So, sorry if I came across as ungrateful and a big thanks to all for the help. Long live Hypercam LOL.:

I have indeed, and it works well. My biggest mistake was that I just switched to RTE2 after installing hypercam. When I eventually figured out to switch to S*Y sp*rts, it worked almost immediately.

doesnt need to by sky sports either,, any encrypted n2 only channel and it should clear instantly.

Do you have to use the 1.1 image or will it work on the up to date image as well???
