800hd scanning for channels

cant seem to get any channels on cable??

anyone know how to manual sca these things

simply copy over the cable.xml file from downloads ftp to unit and then you should be able to scan properly.

brighton, ive just ftp the cable.xml file from my 500c to my 800hd just rebooting now

the xml might not work in these E2 images
so
menu>setup>service searching> manual scan
there should be a screen look like this

In the "service Scan" page it says ;

Tuner - Tuner A DVB-C
Type of Scan - Single Transponder
Frequency - 666 < add this
Inversion - Auto
Symb Rate - 6887 <add this or 6952
Modulation - 64-QAM
FEC - Auto
Network Scan - Yes
Clear Before Scan - No
Only Free Scan - No

then start scan

666 didnt work, i randomly put 411 in and its picked up loads????

scan finished 294 services but only fta cleared. the keys are all up to date tho mmmmmmm

were did you put the keys and scce files

in var/keys

and var/scce

copied direct from my working 500c (running evocamd 2.12 me thinks)

try this ftp
to var/ and delete the keys and scce files
then go in to usr/ delete any keys and scce file there as well
then ftp back to /usr/ and put your working keys and scce files in there
then
reboot then, restart what ever cam you using

Have you got "only free" box unticked in the transponder scan option and is "allow service updated " ticked in setup?
Just 2 simple thing that can solve a problem like yours.Just adding to what westkill is saying.Sorry for butting in
