      If it says file too big, it means DreamUp can't find the box. Most likely incorrect IP address or a problem with you null modem cable.

            I have the same problem. I connected my DM800 to a terminal program (baud rate 115200 8N1) and on its powerup, I captured the following:

            (c) 2007,2008 Dream Multimedia GmbH. All rights reserved.

            Dreambox D M800

            FIRST STAGE 1.00 {BO23456}

            2ND STAGE OK, build #75 (20091005)

            0.000 - BCM board setup
            {00000126,00000126,00000125,00000124,00000123,0000 0133}
            0.007 - fp init
            0.008 - ca init
            CA invalid
            OLED found!
            NO CONFIGURATION DATA PRESENT. STOP.
            * ERR01: NO CA FOUND

            Tried all the methods mentioned in this thread and none worked. I may be facing a different problem since my 2nd stage bootloader loads. From the serial port trace, it seems that it could not find the configuration data, ie CA Invalid. When this happens, the DM800 refuse to respond to pressing the silver button on powerup and does not grab the IP address from the DHCP server. I tried both direct null ethernet cable method and through the router method. Tried it repeatedly until my fingers sore and still it does not work. So I guess without the network, I am totally screwed.

            My guess is that some of us share the same problem as me and still stuck with the brick. Any suggestions from our more experienced bros out here?

              Got the same here, shows 2nd stage as OK but fails hard on the CA error..

              Did you manage to find a solution for this?

              Thanks,
              Johan

                Managed to get it working again.
                I downloaded Digital Kaos - Downloads - 2nd stage and force flash

                From there use the file DreamUP_patched_by_forhike_and_natas.exe
                This allows you to flash your dreambox again.
                In my case I used the latest OpenPLI to get into this situation.
                Then used the executable mentioned above to put secondstage-dm800-72.nfi on, which also comes with the download.
                This way I got my dm800 (clone) working again.

                Hope this helps.
                Johan

At step 3 flash-loader uploads without any pop-up messages, DreamUp status is "upload completed, waiting for acknowledge", and nothing happens. After choosing firmware at step 6 DreamUp says: "calculating checksum, waiting for OK from box to begin upload", and again nothing happens. When I try to flash the box again after steps 8 & 9, there is "file too big" message, and that's all. Many thanks to forhike for his work anyway, hope that he may have some new ideas how to solve this problem.
                    The main problem with this dm800hd, its simply the sims . I can fix it now. I have 2 weeks trying all these method etc reflash by webbrowser, dream up.Its all waste of time.My one is working nice now, you can even watch utube on it.

                              Problem of NO CA FOUND is still not solved.
                              I use DreamUp patched, but if I choose Connect and switch on box I get alert window 'is not a valid integer value. I tried to use enforcer.exe and DM800_repair but I get next alert window "file too big. I can't flash any image.
                              Any solutions?
