Bro, you got what cable? Null or normal RS 232 cable? I got the Null cable and when I tried to do system update between 2 boxes.. after 1 hr.. also nothing.Latest update: i bought a new box from china DM900C-V, I think I still prefer using clone boxes.
i did a system update:
DM900CII(Receive mode)<---Serial cable-->DM900C-V(transmit mode)
Within 2 min, updated completed.
My 900CII is once again function normally just as before, with all channel in proper position
in summary:
System updating REALLY recover everything
Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!Comment

Prerequisite,
1 NULL modem cable(also known as CROSS modem cable),
1 dm900cii with the latest firmware to transmit &
1 dm900cii which you wanted to update to receive.
First connect both dm900cii with the null modem cable. You need to enable the dm900cii(upgrading box) to receive mode first then you enable the other dm900cii(transmitting box) to transmit mode. Upon transmit completed the dm900cii will reboot by itself. Check the software version to know whether it was updated or not.Comment

Hi everyone , I'm a newbie here. I'm glad to have this forum which helped me on my DM900 C-V CV3 . I did a master reset because one of my channel has no audio sound. I didn't know that it will bring me into so much trouble. All my prog been erased & i was panic! Luckily , i google on the internet and saw this thread. Follow the instruction given on page 1 & i managed to get most of the channels back. But i have a question. I noticed that all my demand channels had disappeared. Is there any method of bringing them back? Thanks in advance !Comment

You can try to do a manual scan at frequency 306 & 322 MHz. FYI, those "demand channel" only appear in some select day, time and location only. You have to keep on trying.
