No wonder you are having scanning problems your area is notorious for it. The step rate should be changed to 6Mhz instead of the default 8Mhz for your area.

Regards the update its only when users report bugs that they are ironed out. I am sure that it is been looked at.

hi, my first post here, the ex7000hd is having problems in some area's so channel signal strength varies from area to area, apparently the problems are being worked on so be patient and things will get sorted eventually, my channels have low signal at the moment but my pvr is perfect so give the coders a chance and we will get there eventually

The best way to do this steveo is to find out the frequencies for the channels you are missing from your area and press menu go to user installation and find the frequencies in question, highlight it and press ok, Then press blue to scan that frequncey. With a bit of luck it will pick them up. If the frequency isn't there select add and puch it in manually, Then highlight it hit ok and again press blue to scan it.

                  HD offering by Virgin Media

Due to the recent halt in hostilities between Sky and Virgin Media, cable viewers are about to get even more choice when it comes to programming available on Virgin Media.

One service that they have not been able to experience is HD TV. This is because these channels were not available through Sky for obvious reasons, apart from BBC HD.

But now that is all over and Virgin Media will be offering HD content over the next couple of months.

With superfast broadband being made available to nearly half the country, HD channels are a natural addition to the services that they are looking to provide to their customers.

It looks like an exciting time for Virgin Media and their customers as today there will be an announcement about super fast broadband.

The rollout and cost of this service is essential to the growth of HD for Virgin Media.

I had one for 4 days now, picture on HD is to die for, only BBC HD at the moment, but it does vary the progs it puts out, e.g. Saturday night was a movie, the normal picture is the same as the starview I suppose, its normal viewing, loading the firmware and saving settings is a dream, downside is the channel editing, absolute nightmare, the only good thing about the editing is you can do a bit save and come back to it later, channel changing is much slower than the starview, and be warned the handbook is very poor and not very informative at all, you will be grateful for sites like these for help, pvr is good, I wish it had two tuners though, when you are recording you are left with the freeview channels on your telly if you have them. last gripe I have is the hard drive stays on when the box is on standbye, I worry about the safty overnight running continuously, not mention how long the HDD will last, so I now turn the box off at the rear, hope this helps some of you. all in all would I buy it again YES the HD pic is A+++

Problem with loading channels onto Fav.

Hi, I have an EX7000 with 283 channels on it. The problem I am having is loading them onto Fav (5, 6 and 7) . 1,2,3,4 & 8 are fine. Is their a problem with the new firmware and if so is it going to be updated soon
Apart from that and the channels being a bit slow to turn over this box is great.

Hi, any chance of some help. i seem to have managed to get into a real mess with my new eurovox hd 7000. So i plugged it in last night and did the ez install. I had all the channels on the list but all but the standard terrestrial channels were saying scrambled so i assumed i needed to update the firmware so i downloaded the 03.12.09 firmware, went through the process of putting it on my usb stick then turning the box off and on and the box said it was writing the firmware. However, since the box rebooted all it is saying is 'Invalid Data' on the screen and i am unable to do anything, literally apart from turning the box off and on at the back. The only thing i feel like i may have done is not unzipped the download file properly. Any help!! Very worried i've broken my box!.
                              Thanks anyone.
                              Kristov
